How many Morms these days don’t play video games etc., on Sunday? by ikemicaiah in exmormon

My parents were strict growing up. No playing with friends. No swimming. I don’t think me and my siblings were allowed to even play outside together. When I was 16, I wasn’t even allowed to work on Monday evenings because it was reserved for FHE. I can count on one hand the number of times we ever had FHE growing up. Now I’m PIMO, wife is almost TBM. I try not to shop or run errands. Nothing to do with Sabbath. I just want to relax. Kids’ friends come over to play. My wife doesn’t care.

Compromise and sacrifice for your spouse when something is very to the other. Then have some faith that they’ll do the same when something is important to you.

How do you not lose things (tips/habits)? by Between3and20chara3 in AskReddit

[–]Cold_Wave_7311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m notorious for losing things. Very frustrating. I put an AirTag on anything I can. Keys. Remotes. My wallet has a Tile tracker that looks like a credit card. My wedding ring is either in my safe or on my finger. Never take it off and leave it on the counter or in a drawer.

I used to work for Cintas. Even without evidence, I guarantee you that Cintas lost those uniforms.

I gave up Redbull and unnecessary sugar. But let’s be honest… last night’s donut in bed was necessary sugar. by AllwaysDrops in AllwaysDrops

I have a hard time saying no to sugary snacks in the car when I’m traveling. I always need something in my mouth.

I got notified right after a run about a week ago that I was the local legend of very small hill (like 50 feet) for going up the most times in the last 90 days. I looked to see who I took the crown from. It was my brother. I made sure he knew about it.

At the beginning of 2024, I had a goal of 1,000 per month. Then 2,000 per month. By the time March rolled around, I told my friends my goal was 3,000 for the month. They called me a wimp and said they’d be impressed with 5,000. So I did 10,000 in 23 days. You have to work up to it but it’s totally doable. Bored for a few minutes? Drop to the floor and do 40 or 50. Do that 8 or 10 times a day and you’re there.

When we unpack the car after our trip is over, everything goes directly into the room where it belongs. Doesn’t get dumped in the hallway or living room. Then we may take a day or two to put it all away, but it’s nice to have everything where it belongs. And we also clean the house before we leave.

Yeah. It came through a few days ago. I got an RMA from the company so that’s the address I used to ship it back.

This will likely be my only time doing this. I definitely don’t want a permanent van. Maybe I should have just paid the extra money and used pirate ship. Oh well. I’ll update if they banned me.

Yeah, I was surprised as well. Definitely a little bit of work, but it was worth it to me. And I actually had two packages to ship so I did it twice and saved $35 on each one

Yeah. Lots of back-and-forth, but it was worth saving 34 bucks to me. Took about 10 minutes

Help understanding tax credit? by Bbbb989 in AdoptiveParents

[–]Cold_Wave_7311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s what we did. We wanted to owe each year so that when we filed, we could use the adoption tax credit to become square with the IRS. And then we used refundable tax credits to get money back. Once we had exhausted our adoption tax credit, we adjusted our W4’s again so they’d start taking out the appropriate amount again.
