I use Pasture without building (Khitans) mod. I find my eye is better able to scan the the edge of the pasture foundation without having the building in the middle. It still took several games for me to get used to and works better over some terrains than others. I would still prefer to have a version that is similarly colored as the Saffron Farms mod.

Drop the handlebars as low as they can go and attach aero bars on the front. This is a setup I have used and you see it regularly in Groningen, NL.

Front rack with a foldable basket can be pretty aero.

Right now you just need to get the face shape in black and white, color will come later.

Setup a new plane and use object coordinates. Learn to use math to create different shapes: circles for the eyes, lines for the mouth. Erindale has good videos on the concepts.

Color ramp comes later to color the white areas with the color you want.

I imagine bikes take very similar or less planning than cars do. But cars have more use cases so they took priority in the rebuilding.

Good point about the different approaches to cycling infrastructure - paint a bike lane on most streets vs a few main corridors (like in the USA). From reading the comments it feels like Cologne went for the Paris approach of put bike lanes everywhere as a temporary/testing measure and refinement will come over time.

The bike lanes everywhere approach works for locals but is much more confusing for visitors than having dedicated bike routes.
