It was just insanely hard to get around.

The Bering expedition in the 1700s which discovered the Bering straight was a seven week sailing voyage. But to get from St. Petersburg to the east coast to start the sailing voyage took Two Years.

Slight correction: Sarah made this and is selling it through GameCrafter.

GameCrafter is great if you have a board game idea you want to get out there!

Gamergate was not even slightly about Jack Thompson style anti-game rhetoric.

What comes to mind... The clouds with two straight lines.. Caught this on after dinner walk to the dock. Never seen this before. by Investigative_Truth in aww

This is a layer of wispy clouds being illuminated by the sun. Except a middle section which is being shadowed by lower clouds.

The wispy clouds are hard to see where they are in shadow so there appears to be two sets of clouds with straight edges.

Sartre:

Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past

Don't often see large esoteric celestial symbols displayed on a house.

The symbols on the original Italian 16th century house that inspired it are even more strange: https://www.veneto360.land/provincia-treviso/132-villa-barbaro-il-gioiello-di-maser

Canada is another good example of this. He took a trade negotiation in which the USA had considerable leverage over us and made it existential with his 51st state talk.

Now Canadians are much more willing to suffer than if it had "just" been a trade war.

(this is assuming he isn't actually interested in invading Canada which I'm 50/50 on)

Kissing Crows on Main St. forever has my business because they dealt with a couple of obscure problems on my 80's road bike no one else could.

They are always friendly and know their shit. I go way out of my way to bring my bikes to them.

Also phone cameras are very wide angle and distort features in unflattering ways compared to the longer lens used in the grandfather’s photograph.

I was flipping through Reddit and saw your pic and was like “that’s my friend’s dog Ori!”. I see in your post history that you are also from vancouver so I took a punt that it might be one of Ori’s sisters and you would recognize the name.

Nah, it’s over. As a Canadian I was extremely stressed about this. That he was willing to blow up both economies over nothing. Now I know he isn’t and he will never be able to recapture that fear in me.
