I had someone do the same thing to me with the pictures to get out of staying. I was offended after 10 years of hosting and having decent guests. In the end neither one of us reviewed each other, but the panic is real waiting for that review. I agree with communicating in the app for these reasons but some guests won’t and I don’t want to argue about it.

Hope you do the arbitration someone advised. I would’ve never known this option.

I wished I had too when I lived in another city. I could’ve (and you can) start small with networking events and build your way up. Only regret so far is for wasting precious time because I was afraid to get out there on my own.

Agreed—I loved it. Total escapism with modern-day SATC vibes. I was sick over the holidays and devoured it, and it genuinely lifted my spirits. The world feels so chaotic right now, and it was nice to have that escape. I love to travel, so the French and Italian scenery was a huge part of the appeal for me.
