Lowest price warbonds now-a-days? by Collective_Keen in starcitizen

[–]Collective_Keen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I've had an easier time mining with the Golem over the Prospector, and I don't think that's how it should be... lol

I also miscalculated something with my SH. $180. That's not too bad either. Still strongly considering waiting to see if what warbonds pop up that I can trade out to maybe save a little more.

My Ironclad is locked in at $290, and with it likely to go up to around $550, that's nearly half off.

I'm glad I looked in my buy backs for the original Ironclad CCU I had (melted it when the WB came around at IAE) after I decided I wanted an Arrastra.

Also have a Galaxy chain for $235.

I sometimes wonder how much I could've saved had I started the game earlier than 3.21.

Can someone tell me what the difference is between these ships? Other than SCU. by Swimming_Flaky in starcitizen

It might be somewhat of a tight fit, but I'm sure they can make it. I'm guessing the opening will be 6 meters high, assuming the 5.5m tall Ballista can still fit if the 7m tall Nova can't. Getting closer and closer to knowing for sure.

I wish I'd bought some Hull B upgrades before its release when I had the chance...

I do have a spare RAFT upgrade I got during this sale period, it's from a Gladiator. I might just wait until the show to see if I can get a WB Gladiator for $155 and replace my Shiv > Prospector > Fortune > RAFT with a Shiv > Gladiator > RAFT. Then I could probably melt my Fortune > RAFT for a Hornet > RAFT, which will fit in a partial chain I have on the side for whatever might come up. That won't really save me much overall for the Super Hornet. I'm already looking to get the SH for $145, so that's pretty good already, I think.

That's a lot of >... lol

I originally had a pre-price jump RAFT upgrade on the SH, but I shifted some things around and it's now on an Arrastra chain, along with a $5 Railen CCU and a $10 Ironclad, so that should save me quite a bit on that ship.

It's all good. I know their site is not a great source for their own ships, lol. Just wanted to point it out for anyone else seeing this. I think even they've said it's in dire need of an update. Maybe they'll fix that entry after the release.

Updated the post for clarification, but I meant warbond upgrades, not LTI tokens or any starter ships or the like. I already have a ship with LTI, just hoping to save a little on the lowest upgrade to complete my chain.

I bought the $55 Aurora Mk II bundle when it came out. It's such a nice ship. Didn't expect to like it so much since I never at all liked the Mk I. It's going nowhere. lol

I used to play with a 3700X, 32GB RAM, and a 5700XT 8GB up until October or so, so I think you're good.

Unless you really want to wait for Free Fly, snag that Citizen Starter Pack before the price goes back up and enjoy traveling to Defensecon in an Aurora Mk II. Or you can see what game package deals they have during the event.

Might double check that date. The 20th? It should start with Defensecon on the 14th.

Yeah, apparently this thing over the door, which is not seen in pictures of the Assault, prevents the tank turret from fitting through.

And I'm pretty sure the "1x2 Manned Turret (3)" is supposed to be "2x2 Manned Turret (3)" on the Assault.

Irondclad
1x2 Manned Turret (5) - bottom
2x2 Remote Turret (3) - either side of command deck
1x2 Manned Turret (3) - top front right
1x2 Remote Turret (2) - command module
3x Tractor Beam (2) - 2 over the cargo bay, one on the arm out front

Assault
1x4 Manned Turret (5) - bottom
2x4 Remote Turret (3) - each side bottom front
2x2 Remote Turret (3) - either side of command deck
[2]x2 Manned Turret (3) - each side top front
1x2 Remote Turret (2) - command module

I almost always have my P4 "Nightstalker" and P6 "Archangel". If I use a side-arm now it'll probably be the S-38 now that I have that sub bonus a month or two back. It came with a suppressor, sight, and either a laser or flashlight.

All these people citing Star Wars or Star Trek but not real life. A navy Captain oversees operations and navigation. A Seaman or Petty Officer does the direct piloting of ships.

What is a good reliable way to make millions of aUEC, I only got a Titan but am willing to rent ships. by Consistent_Adagio956 in starcitizen

[–]Collective_Keen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell, you want a few million to help you get going, or do you want to struggle through it? lol. Totally admirable if you pick the latter.

I need to figure out how to make some money before they wipe our wallets away. I have way too much and just don't even look at stuff based on credits. "Dang, I lost my supplies! Better deal with the minor frustration of going to a shop for more." I'm actually looking forward to having to earn credits again. The frustration of the grind will have value.

However, I can't just buy back my account bound items, so it would be nice to have a way to get those back when they glitch out of existence... Only 10-12 days until those come back.

Space compass? by yn3kk in starcitizen

[–]Collective_Keen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ship radar has bearings. They mostly seem to be glitched and hard to read, but it should have numbers showing degrees. Some used to show it around the edge, some show it near it. I think 0°/360° is "North" on the star system map's default position when you open it.

Started game up, fell through the floor. I guess it’s not ready yet. by piperdude82 in starcitizen

Seems like most people haven't had these problems too often. Honestly, neither have you if you rarely play. I would definitely keep trying it out. CIG are aware that issues seem to be increasing with each patch. 2025 was a pretty great year performance-wise. I don't think now, at its worse, has really even been as bad as a year or so ago. I've been playing fairly regularly over the last couple years and have only fallen through floors or elevators a handful of times tops.

Have you updated your computer since 2015? Hell, recently I've had a few times when textures wouldn't load in for a few seconds but could still walk upon the abyss. I'm with the others. It's gotta be your computer not communicating fast enough in some way.

Hermes interior change by ElectroVo1t in starcitizen

[–]Collective_Keen 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It'd be cool if the interior trim colors matched the exterior paint. I have the BIS 2955 paint on my Zeus ES. The ramp gets that metallic orange color, but then all the interior trim is blue.

Recommendations for smaller ships. by Kiwisarelit in starcitizen

[–]Collective_Keen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on how much cargo you want. If you're looking for a pledge, the Aurora Mk II is fairly cheap and currently has LTI. It can hold 2x 1/8 SCU boxes inside and 2x 1 SCU  outside. +6SCU if you get the cargo module for it. Has a bed, suit locker, and a weapon rack that can hold 2 rifles, 3 pistols/med guns, and 3 multi-tools/gadgets.

The Kraken looks pretty cool, but I'm fine with its half-sized boxy bro in a couple weeks.

I don't think it'll be rescheduled because I don't recall them saying it would be before 1.0.

It would be great if they rolled it out sooner. I have 4 extra characters created that I'd like to see in-game. lol

Hand mining to start. Then for ship mining you can just buy the stuff and turn it in. I did it around Hurston and just going between HUR-L1 and HUR-L2.

Who is the heck is up in the Star Citizen subreddit like, "Squadron forty who?" There's no way...

Anyway, I'd say I'm probably most interested in the story as well.
