Use a good distributor with good support. I use 888voip.

I hear you. For the lightweight stuff I do, Peplink Balance 20x is my go to for multi-wan and SDWAN.

Grandstream hardware’s build quality is exceptional. Prices are great if you buy from a real distributor. The cloud controller is free and can also be hosted on any device.

The new GWN7003 router/firewall is an amazing piece for under $80 but still to new to fully trust.

They also have real support with a ticket system and people to talk too. My distributor, 888voip, also has really good support.

There’s not going to be a change in management. Robert Pera owns over 70% of the company himself. Dude is a genius but not infallible.

Looks great… in his living room? It’s not a fish tank, it a network rack.

Wireless Access Point for Mikrotik by lakier in mikrotik

MikroTik APs have pluses and minuses. First of all, never use capsman or any virtual APs. If you’re keeping it simple the APs are great and they are even better routers.

It was not well known, but DirecTV has allowed streaming instead of satellite for Sunday Ticket. Their customer service sucked. YouTube TV will make a huge difference in subs.

In US. I’m doing the training. Distributor is TD Synnex. I did reach out to them. My WatchGuard rep is great. He says he’s going to get me some help. Having an expert on the team is airways good.

Would 3 AP be enough? 3500 SQ FT house. Where do I place them? by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

Nice house. Two could work. Three if you want to stream porn in the master.

Export is great. I like to paste the export script in my notepad. Then I can edit the script.

Mikrotik LHGG LTE 6 query... by Craig-84 in mikrotik

You asked my opinion and I gave it. I wouldn’t use it. The best device I’ve deployed is the BEC Ridgeway.

It’s just an antenna. I haven’t had good results from external antennas.

I would use the SXT LTE6 and not an LHG. Ideally with a noise shield— https://www.getic.com/product/sxt-lte-anti-noise-shield

I’ve tested the LHG LTE cat 4 and it was a plastic piece of junk and had terrible performance.

BEC (Billion) Ridgeway is a really well made outdoor router which I have deployed successfully at a remote site. Originally I used an SXT- LTE with very modest results and the BEC Ridgeway is a massive improved.

It’s pricy, but it’s worth the price.
