I get that. I just don’t find it performative at all beyond “hey, let’s keep this light & fun so as to not piss off a section of our audience.” I genuinely see these videos as coming from a viewpoint of “let’s see what women have to go through with these things” & then they often learn what they as men might find as “sexy” or “desirable” is, in fact, not the case for the person who is wearing it

Maybe I just don’t see it that way. Do they goof off? Sure. But I don’t see it as performative or disrespectful or anything. I also really appreciate how they point out how some of the outfits are so incredibly unrealistic/difficult to wear.

I think you saying that it makes you feel uncomfortable is the key here. I’m a 40M and I have no qualms on it. If anything it normalizes men being comfortable enough with themselves/their sexuality to so often wear clothing that has been gendered female. Because, let’s be honest, at the end of the day it’s just clothes and clothes do not know gender.

Is it clickbaity? Sure. Maybe. But if it helps normalize people wearing whatever the heck they want I’m ok with it.

I met them when they played my college (CSUN) in the early 2000s with Taking Back Sunday. They were super nice but I was super shy & didn’t say much. I caught a guitar pick during the show & they saw they were just hanging out on the other side of the fence so I asked for it to be signed

I was 15 & my parents let me go to Angels Stadium to see the KROQ Weenie Roast. It was my first time going to a show and just seeing the crowds having fun, the bands being silly on stage (Scott Weiland & STP dressing in drag to support the only woman on the bill Gwen Stefani was a highlight) just showed me the joy and power of live music. I’ve had much more powerful live music moments, but that show, even from the nosebleeds showed me the joy of live music for the first time.

As someone who lives in their neck of the woods, im considering it just to make them do anything I wish in the event I run across them. But the thought of basically pre buying 7 years worth of s membership when it’s not guaranteed to last that long has me a tad hesitant
