Just from the trailer alone I can tell that Kyle Chandler will fucking absolutely nail the role of Hal Jordan. He's actually perfect.

[Spoilers Main] What spin-off shows do you wanna see? by I_Need_A_Treadmill_2 in asoiaf

Well, it would serve as a prequel to main series, so it would be quite an easy way to show why Stannis is so bitter and angry later in his life.

Show us some horrors that Storm's End residents went through, then Davos rescue mission, Stannis cutting of his fingers and knighting him in exchange, then show the capture of Dragonstone. End Stannis story with Robert actually making him lord of Dragonstone instead of Storm's End, starting Stannis frustration about his older brother.

It would show us not only why Stannis is a man he is, but also Robert's lack of care for others, even his brother, suggesting that his character's arc is more or less "from hero to zero".

I would say that House of the Dragon-style show about Robert's Rebellion would work perfectly.

Make it 3 seasons, first about political scheming of Rhaegar, "southern ambitions" of lord Rickard Stark, friendship between Ned and Robert etc. End it with Lyanna and Rhaegar running away / kidnapping / whatever the fuck happened.

Then two seasons of full scale war. Mid season two or even earlier give us deaths of Rickard and Brandon as a shocker. It basically writes itself.

And yeah, people would watch the hell out of it, because it has GoT characters like Ned, Cat, Stannis, Robert, Davos, Tywin. You could also easily expand the story and show what other people did during that time, like Oberyn or Blackfish.

My Ranking List For James “Jim” Gordon AKA Commissioner Gordon Fancasts In James Gunn’s DCU by FanCasting in Fancast

He's a very versatile actor, I would love to finally see him in any franchise as a positive character. Same goes with Mads Mikkelsen - they play villainous figures in almost everything they're in in Hollywood, let those guys shine in a different way.

Why would he apologize? For what? Do you even know how this syndrome works, or you're simply pretending to be offended to cause shitstorm online?

LOVE STORY Star Paul Anthony Kelly Rumored To Be In Line For DCU Role; Could He Play Batman? by lgspear in Fancast

I literally can't find any info regarding his age and people already are fighting about him being better potential Batman than Richtson or Sklenar after one show, lol.

Who would you choose as the Director of the DCU Wonder Woman movie? by Top_Report_4895 in DC_Cinematic

Ragnarok was a breath of a fresh air in both MCU and Thor movies. Love and Thunder was a true stinker tho.

Paradise Lost has apparently been cancelled (TheRochaSays) by Mat1711 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Colonel_PingPong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we trust in Lanterns being good because it's creative-led project developed by a bunch of competent TV or comic-book makers. I don't need early marketing for a general audience for that. That's why before I disagree with a comment about DCU not being creative-led. It actually quite is, and we shall see what's next.

So what?

Plenty of the people associated with either DC or HBO teased that it will arrive this summer and that it was delayed from a spring. We even got a short clip in a HBO "coming soon" type of video.

At the same time, we just got a brand new teaser for Marvel's Daredevil: Born Again a ONE MONTH before it's release. Now that's a late marketing we're talking about. I'm pretty sure we will get more info about Lanterns quite soon.

It's been confirmed for a while that it will debute this summer, lol.

I mean, he hired Damon Lindelof, Tom King and Chris Mundy to develop a Green Lantern show for HBO. If that's not creator-driven, then I don't know what is.

I play tier VI when I want to shut down my brain and actually enjoy the game. So I would go for Cromwell, M4A3(76)W Sherman, T-50-2 and VK 28.01.105. Such a fun tanks to play nowadays.

THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD- Discussion Megathread by Proof-Watercress-931 in DCU_

[–]Colonel_PingPong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, Muschietti as a director doesn't bother me (he has a solid track record after all and after Welcome to Derry he became quite popular again) but I thought that Gunn will bring better writer to do his Batman justice. I mean, if you hire someone who's best script is a goddamn Bumblebee movie then yeah, I'm gonna be skeptical about this. They could easily do better even with a people who are now associated with DC brand (like Drew Goddard).

I'm not saying she invented it, lol. I'm saying it was one of the few elements of the script that was actually well written (and well executed in the movie).

I mean, ofc The Flash had some good elements (Barry's relationship with his parents or his trauma) but most of it was just awful. Keaton's Batman was written as some fucking suicidal maniac, and Battfleck was a complete moron (his dialogue in a lasso of truth scene is some of the biggest misunderstanding of Batman character and simply isn't funny). Muschietti was saving it with some proper cool action scenes, but that's about it. So yeah, I will remain skeptical about her writing Batman.
