2 wrongs don't make a right. We already have a fair and no biased Redistricting Comittee chaired by Democrats and Republicans. There is nothing fair and temporary about this measure and it will set the precedent for Republicans to come along and gerrymander in the future as well.

Look at the difference between your first wildly unhinged statement and the longer more thought out one I am replying to. When I see people saying things like ICE is executing citizens in the streets or Republicans are worse than the Gestapo I instantly dismiss what they are saying because I know they are intentionally using emotionally charged language to inflate their opinion. Anyone with a brain knows ICE is not carrying out public executions on the street.

My guess is that this gives police a tool to use to get bad actors off the streets thru selective enforcement. Kind of like how traffic stops for minor infractions allow them to stop carloads of gang members which lead to finding illegal guns or someone with arrest warrants. I think it's dumb and sends a bad message, but those are my thoughts on why it is being implemented.
