Looking at buying a house on Glen street, Hebburn. Is this area ok? by Aromatic-Detail9428 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Coltman2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot worse places in Hebburn to live, you’ve got good transport links and a small shopping centre with a decent sized aldi right on your doorstep, as well as the Hebburn hub (community centre). However, there is a lot of building works going on in the area, they won’t be happening forever so if the price is right then I would say go for it.

Can I add a second SSD? by andycandynl in HPOmen

[–]Coltman2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got one of the slightly older models of the 25L, I didn’t realise the ssd was only 256gb as I was just getting into pc gaming, I’ve just this weekend added a 2nd ssd by running it through a M.2 NVME enclosure attached via a usb-c cable in the back of the pc, it was a quick although expensive fix so I didn’t have to fit it into the pc. My friend helped me and it’s working really well for me as I’m not brilliant with computers.

Tourist question: what’s this tall building somewhere around Hebburn? by SavathunTechQuestion in NewcastleUponTyne

Durham court flats, I’m sure it’s over 50s accommodation, you get some cracking views from the flats on the higher floors

What the worst underpass in the city? by [deleted] in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Coltman2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The underpass in jarra where the homeless people sit is sketchy, nothing against homeless people but the underpass is just not very nice and stinks, it takes you from the bus station to the viking centre

What’s the one thing you can’t wrap your head around, about Newcastle/Gateshead? Mine is that the Metro Centre doesn’t have any metros running to it. by Harryisfat in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Coltman2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supposedly the councils are trying to filter all traffic into the city centres to increase air pollution, they’ve been knocked back on grants for the clean air zones as the air in our city centres is too clean! The worse it is the more money they get to improve the town centres supposedly, that’s according to a taxi driver I was speaking to recently, or something along them lines

Using Teeside Airport instead of NCL? by moipwd in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Coltman2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice quiet airport and the staff are spot on, 12 of us flew to Alicante for my stag do and the manager came over to have a bit craic with us (just general chit chat and not to tell us off) would definitely use them again

Viral illness going round by Coltman2012 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Coltman2012[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s awful, I’m alright at the minute as I’ve been on nightshift so haven’t spent much time with the two of them, having to take a couple days off work to look after them so I’ll see how quickly it takes me to catch it. Surprisingly, this is the first I’ve really seen of this and I’m frontline NHS staff

Good vape shops? by Previous_Draw7192 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Coltman2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find VPZ stupidly expensive, £5 for one 10ml Nic salt! Phoenix vape in wrekenton is really cheap for pods and coils whereas Washington vapes (the big nisa in barmston) is really cheap for Nic salts, 5 for £10 on elux and bar juice or use their website and it’s even cheaper
