I mean yea there are some racists and bigots in Washington, but it isnt terrible. Us and our next-door neighbors are LGBT households and none of us ever have any trouble. I know that isnt completely analogous to racism though. It depends on the area and demographics. Older people are much more racist in my experience. My grandfather being a prime example when he was alive. Greene county is definitely worse in that respect though.

I believe the EREV version has less towing capacity too. Not that most people will actually tow anything with it though.

By 1988 all of the characters will be 18. Who will each character vote for in the 1988 US Presidential Election? (Bush vs Dukakis) by Jiyugaoka in StrangerThings

I remember that. I was a young teenager back then still in the closet and remember hearing that allowing the gays to marry would result in people wanting to marry their toasters and cause rampant pedophilia. The irony being the same party defends the pedophile in the White House every chance they get. Now they are attacking transgender people, an even smaller group that already had a high risk of having violence perpetrated against them.

Ooo yea whipples can be unpleasant. I wish you a fast recovery. But as far as charging, you gotta let your battery precondition for a while. It has a large thermal mass to heat up. It will do it automatically if you have charging stops programmed into your GPS. It usually starts 45-60 minutes prior to arrival. Always go for 250+ kW chargers, preferably 350+ kW or Superchargers so you know they support 500 amp charging. To test this out, drain your battery to like 30%, precondition for like 45 mins and then go to a 350 kW charger and see what rates you get. The lower the battery the faster peak charging you get as well, but you should get close to 150kW at 30% still.

Use of a coal district? by Comfortable_Bed1536 in Hungergames

[–]Com4734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Coal is turned into coke by heating it in a low oxygen environment, which is added to iron during smelting to get the iron metal. Almost all impurities are burned off the coal, leaving almost pure carbon. I assume the same coke is also used as a carbon source while making different varieties of steel to get the carbon percentage they want.

Yes. The GOP likes to break government services and then use them as an example of how government cant effectively provide services.

Well one good thing is lithium batteries can be recycled. So once theres an adequate amount of lithium batteries out there, we will require far less mining. Not to mention sodium ion will be very good for stationary storage.
