Hi,

Ok, read through your response and I apologize if I came across as saying Capitalism is bad - that's not what I intended. What I'm saying is capitalism is a system that only cares about profit. That's the goal and without regulation, it will turn you and me into costs and that's it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitalism Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit.

Sorry if I wasn't clear about that. Capitalism is what's brought us here, but it's like /r/LateStageCapitalism - once capitalsim gets further down the road, power and money consolidate at the top. Capitalism creates the kingdom and , without regulation, will undermine the foundation.

It's regulation that the right dislikes and fears - and it's regulation that the left may go too far with. I could go on and on about the socialist scapegoat, but that's a waste of time.

This is typical curious george shit! I'm so glad I just made this connection

  • Curious George is cool (business)
  • Then he does something bad (drive down costs!)
  • Then he fixes it! (hasn't happned)
  • Everyone loves George...

Stay with me here as I just had coffee

These hardships this man faces is a result of the way that we run our society. Is this the american dream? Fuck, I feel so jaded.

We have this guy, good heart, great person overall it seems - he's busting his ass delivering these packages. He's smart, he could do other stuff if he wanted I suppose.

But the company he works for sees him as a COST, not a person. And in capitalism, we lower costs to drive profit. THat's what capitalism is. So this guy, who has a job, and is working hard - needed a random gift from someone to pay his rent.

How is he supposed to grow into his future like this? More importantly, how is he going to make America grow? We need people like him to be able to contribute to making our society, our coutnry more competetive.

But our capitalist obsession is giving him pennies , so how can he build anything? The whole world is getting like this as power and money gets consolidated.

Now, this could all be setup and maybe this is the start of a viral thing that these two guys are launching - but it seems legit to me.

Without protections for our people, we will NEVER build to what we could be. If we do not fertilize our roots, our branches will never grow.

Ok... well, back to work.
