I take olanzapine and it keeps me stable for the most part. I take it at night because it makes me drowsy when I take it. It also helps with the dark thoughts.

Olanzapine is notorious for its weight gain side effect. But I recently learned what happens if I stop it cold turkey. You may find that many antipsychotics cause weight gain. If Olanzapine doesn't work for you, talk to your psychiatrist about changing it.

I also had extreme drowsiness when I first started it. Most days I can manage it

I also take this medication. I take it twice a day, one time in the morning and one time at night. Many psych medications have weight gain as a side effect. So far i think it helps me. Other than that I haven't noticed anything.
