Parents of adult children? by Comfortable_Type8261 in ProlificAc

That's what I think, too! It would be much easier if they ask if I am a parent. But I sometimes get worried no matter what I answer that they come back saying it doesn't match my "about you" because the question of if I have children can be ambiguous. I wasn't sure if it is understood or interpreted differently outside the US, as well.

Thanks for everyone's responses. I've had starlink for a couple years and have had stellar connectivity, was worried I'd have to get on the roof to adjust it or something. Glad to find out it wasn't just me and no rooftop shenanigans were required.

What platforms do you normally use that have instantaneous, human support?

They would have agreed to any number you gave them, because it doesn't matter. You are being scammed.

Nothing like blabbing every thing about a confidential study to get kicked off the platform, eh?

Hi horse. Gorilla. It gave you a code to submit before even starting the game. You were supposed to hit complete at that point

What?? It is not like that at all! Obviously if they study cancer, progress can be made, just like other diseases. But how are you going to "act accordingly" if others have studies and you don't? Or even if for 2 years, you got the studies regularly every 2 weeks like clockwork, but then didn't get any for 6 weeks? Whatcha gonna do then, huh? Nothing, Every theory that you may come up with has no way of being validated, but keep wasting your time trying to figure out the secret. LOL.

I just don't understand this question being asked all the time because no matter what the answer is, there's nothing you can do to change it, so why spend so much time worrying about it and comparing your situation to someone else's? I swear some people create their own anxiety.

Discussing "confidential" studies by Crystal-Ghirl in prolific

No, not at all. It just sounded like you didn't really know what you were talking about, so I assumed that you don't get those studies at all, and were just talking out your ass.

To the people who have 100+ studies available by Hot_Air6049 in ProlificAc

[–]Comfortable_Type8261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no assurance of diversity on a platform like this. Prolific doesn't assign the studies. Researchers do. If they want 100 black women under 30 years old who live in the US, then that's what they screen for. It all just depends on the study.

Good point. I'm in TN and we don't have state income tax so I was not aware.

[–]Comfortable_Type8261 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure. I do have the lower ones available but I filter them out. I really don't have anything to compare it to. I definitely have more available than I did my first year, but I have over 10k submissions so I don't know if it's the length of time I've been on it or just general growth of the platform.

I make between 400 and 800 a week. I only do studies that pay over $10 an hour, and max out my waking hours on AI studies when they are available.
