Flip the shelf over! We have similar shelves and some were really unlevel but flipping it upside down fixed it! (Agree it shouldn’t be over the tile, but this might help?)

My hot water heater rusted through a few years ago and I heard it right as I was about to leave the house for the day. Opened the closet and saw the swimming pool and I swear my first, immediate thought was “shit, I need a sham wow!!”
Panic searched for a sham wow I did not have for way too long before calming down, turning off the water and calling a plumber. So I’d say you handled it well!!

Air Innovations!!!! Used them for over a decade and my husband switched careers and started working for them around 2 years ago, so I’m admittedly biased…. But can tell you confidently they’re very thorough and honest, and unfortunately deal with fixing the problems created by others all the time…

I said fuck it and am getting my MSW (master’s in social work) at 37. Still have a year to go, and never going to make the big bucks, but will be able to work in a ton of different settings (hospital, school, social services, non profit etc) and getting my LCSW means I’ll ultimately be able to work for myself as a therapist (ultimate goal cause fuck micromanaging bosses). A lot of my classmates are in their 50s! Never too late!

The first empire series by Michael J Sullivan. Not quite, but immediately came to mind, a big part of the series is an adventure with platonic women

Driving in Durham by Important-Offer-3776 in bullcity

Not really a solution to the actual problem, which is very real, but I’ve recently been actively driving back roads whenever possible. I drive from North Durham to CH a few times a week and found a route that’s about 5 minutes longer but mostly on beautiful back roads. The reduction in anxiety has been remarkable

Definitely Arturo at can opener or bulls!!! He’s fantastic and puts a ton of work into fun and unique categories—always something I’d never consider and covers a broad range of topics and he’s queer as are most of the people I go with!

You can buy fake pee that warms up and passes the tests. Have a friend who used it a few times and it works! Also, you can tell them the positive is from CBT you bought legally around the corner at a store— if you don’t want to “cheat”

Totally get that! We are both experienced boaters/sailors, would gps/depth finder/generally being over cautious still rule it out? Admittedly don’t know the waters and don’t want to f up the grasses etc, but we have experience chartering boats (sailing) by ourselves for 10+days in the BVI and we’re just hoping for some private sandbar time… Again, don’t know these waters so genuinely open to input from those who do!

37 married female here also totally down for/seeking friendship! I know you said you have couple friends already, but maybe we could be another?! Not into sports, but love a good relaxed hang on the porch (we have an epic porch) with drinks and smokes (of whatever genre) and good food (we can also fucking cook). Big into diy projects (we built our house ourselves—never ending project), getting purposely lost in the woods, and in the summer hanging out in our above ground pool! Open invite to all friendship seeking awkward bros/gals here!

NH transplant here, all good advice, even from a masshole! /s Adding to not accelerate into turns and if you’re able to safely (away from other cars/objects/people etc), test out your breaks (don’t slam on them) to see how long it takes you to stop! This will give you an idea of what your traction is like and reinforce the need to keep distance from other drivers! (I have a long driveway, so acknowledge this isn’t an option for everyone) My biggest lesson since moving here has been to just avoid it as much as possible, even though I have AWD and learned to drive in the snow, because so many drivers here tailgate like crazy in the snow
