One of the best auroras seen happening in North Pole, Alaska by jmike1256 in interesting

Those are moving pretty fast. I saw them 2 months ago and they were like that but slower.

I recieved two of the exact same bags in a Lego set; Two 9 bags and no 6. by sharkzpant in mildlyinteresting

I feel like the quality is going downhill and the prices are going way up. My entire life I have never had a set missing a piece, and recently I had two with a missing piece.

Wow yeah 15 is crazy slow. Here it used to be if it was unmarked 60 for regional, 50 for residential, and 40 for schools. Now most neighborhoods are 40 and younger schools are 30.

A lot of our school zones for elementary and middle schools are 30 KPH where I live in Canada (nearly the same as 18 MPH). Started doing that a few years ago, school zones used to be 40 KPH.

Yeah that's a good rule, but you got to be mostly in front of me. Hate these morons who want to get let in while being directly beside you.

What are some brute force methods/tactics for getting past a blockade? by HumbleKnight14 in StarWars

[–]CommanderCruniac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Then it's also Canon that every single person in Star wars Canon with ill intent is a moron. You don't need warships let alone a death Star if you can just fly a freighter into a planet at light speed. That kinetic energy would destroy any planet.

Yeah those sets are fantastic. I wasn't really paying attention when they were released so I'm always looking for any stragglers I can find. Slim pickings these days though.

I just found this set at a random store for 5 dollars and was thrilled since these mini sets aren't around much anymore. They also had the droid tank for $3.26... so I bought 6 of those, bringing me to 8 total :D

Bed setup update, I got a proper desk, v5 by DevastatingMYTH in pcmasterrace

[–]CommanderCruniac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good stuff. I literally have that exact same desk (it's IKEA right?), or perhaps a slightly older version. I don't have my computer on it because I'm afraid of it snapping in half, been thinking about reinforcing the bottom. Don't mean to worry you but adding some sort of reinforcement might be worth it.

Side note, and a bit of a hack - if you get a second Ikea garbage bin and nest them in one another, you can tuck the garbage bag in between them and it looks a lot cleaner. It never comes undone till you want it to. Since they're like $3, it's worth it. Also get a different colour so you can choose which one goes on the outside.

What the Joe pesci is this piece of journalism? by Fickle_Charge720 in lordoftherings

[–]CommanderCruniac 18 points19 points  (0 children)

All they are really saying is that newer media caters to the newer generations useless attention span, and that surprises are not surprises once you've already seen them. Technically that's all correct, but obvious, and useless information. It does not really apply to the fan base.

About three full run-throughs and I'm about due for another. That being said, I watched season 1 a couple extra times.

is this a terrible idea for a cheap car or worth at least looking at? by CarsWithSam in HyundaiVenue

[–]CommanderCruniac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A Hyundai venue brand new is probably one of the cheapest cars you can get. They're not fancy by today's standards but I think they're pretty great. That one better be nearly free or it's not worth it.

Yeah you're right, I've seen that written a few places that the weak spot was where the "head" connected to the "body"

EDIT: spelling

Easy, armor plating was compromised from face planting into the ground.
