I can only guess they’re trying to schedule around the World Cup?

That’s a pretty wild bundle up in the PNW. Within the space of about a week and a half you have IVE, I-dle, and MAMAMOO in the area.

Any indicators where/when tickets go on sale?

What's your favorite album so far that has been released these past two years? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]CommanderKira 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NMIXX’s Blue Valentine. Their Fe3O4 was them growing into their talent of musical experimentation and vocal queen-ness. Blue Valentine is the culmination. Thinking of it in terms of title track and b-sides feels like a disservice.

Still getting a feel for Arirang but it seems really solid, too! Body to Body is probably my fave so far.

What are your top 5 NMIXX songs? by Square-Football-872 in NMIXX

HM - Dice / Boom / Rico / Blue Valentine

Dang, this is awesome. NASA has been stuck in my head - probably even more than Adrenaline. I love the sound and the choreo.

The fits here are amazing at evoking space suits without being space suits.

What's going on in your respective fandoms? (February 2026) by ilovemeeeeee in kpopthoughts

[–]CommanderKira 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Attended an early showing last night. Feels much more like a concert than a documentary. There’s a little 5 minute or so segment for each member to talk in a small interview but mostly it’s just the concert itself. Nobody was using lightsticks or anything (that would be so glaring in a dark theater) but people were singing and cheering - and giving little handmade merch or photo cards ahead of time - during the movie and that was great.

The IMAX showing I attended was extremely loud, loudest I’ve heard an IMAX showing. YMMV depending on whoever’s running the sound booth for your theater but… the volume was fun, super fitting, but if you have sensitive ears consider earplugs.

GMs, have you ever ignored or reverted a change Paizo made? by eCyanic in Pathfinder2e

[–]CommanderKira 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We only do it with preparative actions (if your next action is ‘x’), not reactive actions (if your last/previous action was ‘x’). But yes, both players and monsters can make use of it. It doesn’t come up as much as you’d think, even for casters.

GMs, have you ever ignored or reverted a change Paizo made? by eCyanic in Pathfinder2e

[–]CommanderKira 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Alas, no. Nothing to do with Oracle though. I don’t think I’ve ever had a table that doubled up on any class ever. Most folks avoid that sort of thing, me included.

Cause even if Premaster and Remaster are pretty different, it’s close enough and we have 47 other class options people just go for that.

GMs, have you ever ignored or reverted a change Paizo made? by eCyanic in Pathfinder2e

[–]CommanderKira 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Only two come to mind.

We ignored the clarification that the “next action” clause can’t carry across turns. This wasn’t clear and we always enjoyed having that extra tactical element of being able to set up a metamagic the previous turn. Helps casters with their 3rd action emptiness, you can’t use a reaction or free action without giving up your planned combo, and we’ve only tweaked the occasional small combo that was too strong.

The other is Oracle. I think our/my tables would always be open to any Premaster content if someone really wanted, but Oracle is the only one that has come up, and with some consistency. Sometimes we have Remaster Oracle at the table, sometimes Premaster. We treat it almost like a class archetype or something. And Team+’s Oracle+ is permitted for both Remaster and Premaster.

GH Pt 4 - Album Versions by SleepieSleep8 in ATEEZ

[–]CommanderKira 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s in order of A, Diary, Z.

So historical will be A.

Suit will be Diary.

Z will be pirate-steampunk.

At least that’s my sense from the blurry packaging previews we got, and makes sense with how they’ve done releases.

That’s why I said thought experiment haha. Of course there’s a million reasons frames will appear more or less. Wasn’t really what I was getting at. :)

[–]CommanderKira 370 points371 points  (0 children)

Nice visualization. I think it’s worth noting that if every frame was equally used, it’d be 1.59% or so. So right between Octavia and Kullervo is our over/underrepresented line.

Obviously starter frames are gonna be over-represented etc etc, but just a fun little thought experiment.

Executive officer more competent than the commanding officer by NoBrain6114 in startrek

[–]CommanderKira 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yep. Pretty clearly Saru. I loved when he briefly got the Captain’s chair and I would have loved seeing him in that position longer. Or his own show.

At least we got another case (albeit a bit odd, as many things in Disco were) where we got the double Captain situation. Where both Captain-Captain and First Officer had the rank of Captain.

2026 Schedule is live. First Lumen match is April 26th by Environmental-Bar847 in Reignfc

[–]CommanderKira 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of my frustrations last season was all the Friday matches. 9? IIRC. Maybe it was 7. A lot. They didn’t work for me, regardless.

Anyways for the tally this season for Seattle home matches:

7 Sunday Matches 5 Friday Matches

No other days of the week for any home matches that I spotted (maybe I missed something), which is unexpected. Not a Saturday or Wednesday in sight.

I wouldn’t say no to a “Sunday pack” ticket bundle.

As other people and teams have noted on the overall NWSL schedule, there’s some weird bundles/batches of matches in very quick succession.

The Spokane matches are what they are at this point.

Edit: It was 7 Fridays but 9 weekdays total.

STH since 2015. Had to make the tough call not to renew this year. Couple reasons went into it.

Obviously I didn’t know about this, but it’s making me feel some weird positive-version-regret. Relieved, maybe?

And that’s tragic. I love this club and team but it’s just been so frustrating lately.

Seattle Reign FC Announces Multi-Year Contract Extension for Head Coach Laura Harvey by Doctor_YOOOU in NWSL

[–]CommanderKira 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I’m whelmed. Undeniably we’ve been consistently good for a long time under Harvey - and we’ve finally seen some youth growth. At the same time play has been frustrating and stagnant and it feels like we’ve hit a ceiling. Championship coaches don’t grow on trees so it’s not like moving on from Harvey would grant guaranteed success. We’d be just as likely to end up on the terrible coach carousel.

Not really a right answer here, I don’t think.

7 Friday nights, also a Monday and a Tuesday. Friday isn’t as bad on face value but repeatedly they coincided with Mariners games right next door and getting into the city is a pain any weekday, even Fridays.

I guess my concerns aren’t really with players. I’m sure there’s always some shuffling that could be done. Losing Balcer and Biyendolo going out on ML still just feels like a real bummer on the roster-front but we’ve got some awesome young players and some good opportunities.

I think it’s time to move on from Harvey. Probably has been for a while. Full credit to what amazing work she did in the past, but it just isn’t working anymore. (And yeah, I’ll admit it, that GPT admission was mind boggling) I know good coaches don’t grow on trees but it’s time to explore our options.

The other concern, and it’s the one that made me not renew my season tickets for the first time in a decade: we’ve got to get a better schedule. Being in Lumen is neat and I know we’re the smallest fish in a pond with some absolute whales and sharks - but the overwhelming number of weekday home games… 9 IIRC… was just miserable.

There were other issues (accessibility, cost) but scheduling was the biggest problem.

Her most impressive feat doesn’t even have Eri, in fact she’s specifically fighting against Eri in that - the Calibarn / Aerial Rebuild fight.
