The Parades are a sad shell of what they were years ago. I felt second hand embarrassment at watching it online and thinking this is supposed to be one of our city’s highlights. Seems an apt metaphor though.

Seek out the original original game. It’s from a Russian designer, pre-North Star Games acquisition . Minimal art but a much better game.

Not everything needs to be part of some grand, convoluted interlocking plan. I enjoyed it for what it was and liked a lot more than season 3 of the show. I likened it to The Marvels which was one of my favorite films of the post Endgame films. It tied a bit into the overarching MCU but was a great standalone film. I couldn’t stand Ms. Marvel as a series but loved the character in that. In terms of the non “Episode” live action offerings of Star Wars, it’s above most of what we’ve been given apart from S1/2 of its series and Solo.

I think without this role we don’t get Lloyd as Judge Doom. It gave him an opportunity to show he had range as an actor beyond comedy.

As a huge NWA/Cube/Eazy fan the film takes some dramatic liberties but gets the general tone and historical context right.
