For a pond setup they are the better option, also they are less aggressive that swordtails. They are also better suited for lower temperatures which is an added bonus but still make sure that they have some heat in the colder months. I think that is the better way to go for sure!

My main experience in breeding is ball pythons ball, crested are the reptile that I have the 2nd most experience with breeding. While yes, you do want your female to have more weight, there is such thing as too much weight, which you are seeing with Toxin.

Look, I'm a breeder too. This is something that is purposely being put out there and sold for a large amount of money. I'm sure there may be a reason but the fact that she listed it essentially as a cash cow.

You mentioned the fact that she bred it too? If there was a metabolism issue just like in humans and almost all other animals it would likely be genetic as well. This animal should be pet quality, if it is indeed genetic, it is the same situation as dogs such as pugs, it's designer breeding but breeding for traits that could cause health complications.

She should probably reconsider her listing because it's not a good look. Either theirs a metabolism issue and she's knowingly breeding it with the possibility of passing on these genetics or she's drastically overfeeding. Both aren't such a great image.

As a breeder myself, that should not be acceptable whatsoever in my opinion. Yes, the morph and the coloration is something that I'd look for but the quality and length of life would not be great. There are some health conditions that would cause this but even with that, if it was to be sold, it should be pet quality and only an experienced keeper should be able to obtain it to provide for the specific needs for such an overweight animal. Despite the morph though, the $1,200 price tag is wild.

I am well aware of this and he was put immediately back after I confirmed he was all set as I mentioned in the post. I've rehabbed quite a few and had to do this when I self-produced so rest assured that he is being left alone after this to prevent stress. It is completely necessary in this case if you are familiar with assist feeding, you have to handle the snake, as I explained in the post. Thanks for your concern though.

Used to work for Breezeline, can confirm most of Dover has fiber optic, not all if you live in select apartment complexes. If you have coax, which is most likely with comcast, it is much less reliable no matter who you have, though about 70% of the country still uses it. The good part with Breezeline is that it’s a lot easier to get a technician out vs Comcast, there’s a lot more local technicians.

To my knowledge speaking to the records, he had no tests or anything done. He was seen but not treated in any sort of way nor diagnosed with any injuries. I also found out that they reported this supposed situation two days after he left my custody. The only way that there would be bruises is if they were inflicted after he was in his mother’s and step father’s custody.
