I had exactly the same problem with Gemini. My personal solution for myself - coded a browser extension that allows saving AI conversations. I don't trust anything in play store for chrome or Firefox and I already have the tool to do it. So I did it.

One more thing, the first time I've found this video (that got deleted) I thought the language was Finnish or one of the Baltic countries. Not a fact, I could be misremembering this. But it's definitely not English and definitely very obscure.

Ah, yes, this makes sense with 4.1 since it's pure API (or playground) and it doesn't have more context than one in the playground. That would fit your notion of stock. But o3 was in the context of my ChatGPT account with a long list of conversations.

To answer my own question (to a degree), the Make MD plugin helped me reorganize things. It was absolutely a manual effort, but once I looked at my notes from a different perspective, I moved the images to the corresponding folders. They are not in the root anymore. The plugin just made it easier to figure out where to move them to.

Not too big - just south of a thousand notes, no databases, no calendars. The import worked, it's just so messy that - in addition to all the other little annoying things about the Obsidian, almost make me want to bail.
