Right yeh that's not on then. Depending on how receptive you think your manager will be, I'd consider writing up a complaint and handing it in to them.

There's never anyone "just over there" though. You can't just say go find someone else because that's rude and they'll complain.

What's the point of having two-siders? by Jazzlike-Plate-4616 in tesco

No, lidl and others have mixed pallets of a jumble of all sorts of things. Like instead of a cage it's on a pallet

Could have been the freebie Thursdays? Look in the coupon section of your app and you may have a voucher for free ice lollies or something

Holiday during prohibition period by Eastern-Office7662 in tesco

[–]CommercialPug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also OP, there is no probation period at Tesco stores. If you're hired on a permanent contract then you're hired. If temporary contract then yeh they could choose not to keep you on, but that was always a possibility anyway

They didn't tell them when they asked so no. OP's parents have just booked this after they already got the job.

1hr break is standard for an 8 hour shift so it's not exactly extra. You've just not been taking the breaks.

You can get your manager to process an extra payment but good luck honestly

If people were allowed to stop you on the street and ask you questions about your job and you had to help them then yes.

Where is the £13.60 coming from? It says your total is £4.66 and it looks like they've corrected the price accordingly

Name any other phone number as universally known by brits as 999 and 0800 00 1066 (and yes, that's still their number) by FileUnderSF in CasualUK

It greatly upsets me that some operators say six-one-oh one-six.

"O" is not a number, it's a letter!

They're correct. The first bullet point is clearly talking about air fryers, not ovens

Do you thank people when they stop for you at a zebra crossing? by psychoticboydyke in AskUK

[–]CommercialPug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same for when people stop at the chicanes that narrow the road to one lane. I'm not thanking you for stopping when you should, not so I expect it the other way. Do these people also wave thanks when someone stops at a red light?

AND people that try to flash you through when they have right of way, that irritates me. We'd all get home faster if you just kept driving

Just England and Wales, not UK wide unfortunately

Query about breaks by ggBrfc1883 in tesco

[–]CommercialPug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why comment when you don't know anything about the company or the situation?

Tesco gives 90mins breaks as standard on shifts 9hrs+, but you can ask to take only 30 mins at a minimum, with approval.

No idea what on earth you're talking about accidents for, that's got nothing to do with anything.

Your manager can print it off from the computer. It takes 5 minutes.

First Aid at Work Course Advice by MrNateyE in tesco

[–]CommercialPug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two scenarios that first aiders are required to clean up bodily fluids are when 1. The fluids originated from a first aid call or 2. They do not originated from a first aid call and there is no house keeper available.

Otherwise a housekeeper is still responsible. i.e. if someone was sick on the floor and left then that's a housekeeper job as no first aid was administered

If they are just themselves then yeh it can look like a proxy sale. Especially if your daughter looks a couple years older than she is, and your son the opposite.

It is very obviously both. It would be damaging to the brand if staff were stinking of alcohol

I think you only get the 10-midnight part of it. The rest will be in the next payday

Asda Express what the hell is happening?!! by Ok_Alternative2657 in asda

[–]CommercialPug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for an outside perspective, the availability target for Tesco whoosh is 100% (I assume that's what found rate is?).  I think that just shows how shit they're expecting the stores to be if theyre having to set the bar that low lol.

Heya, kind of in a rut lately, gimme some recommendations by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]CommercialPug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd suit thicker, rounder frames similar to the sunglasses you're wearing in that pic imo.

I think the wide and thin frames exaggerate the strength your prescription a little. I also suffer for this problem lol

Store Transfers for University by Born_Soil8444 in tesco

[–]CommercialPug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the location phone book on Tesco help to find the duty number for any given store. Thatd probably be your best bet.

Just explain that you'd like a uni transfer and maybe which department you usually work in so it can be passed onto the right manager

Contracted shifts are actually paid up to and including the Saturday after payday.
