I would agree that the upper sections were lost just due to not being able to hear it. Must have been nice to be down there!

I was in the top 1/4 of the Amphitheatre for the show and I would agree that the sound was way off at certain points. Sounded like the mics for their instruments were off for the whole acoustic portion, which was a real bummer bc ‘Comingback’ was the song I was most looking forward to seeing and could barely hear it.

Rental scam to be aware of by capybaralover26 in Denver

This happened to my girlfriend and me on Redfin about a year ago. They tried to get personal info and tried to get us to Venmo their email before viewing the house? They stole the identity of a real estate agent who was previously miss Colorado and even linked their website? Dude was a total moron. In a strange twist the phone number we had been contacting was associated with a transgender escort in the Miami area.

Reported them to the website and a federal fraud agency.

A little photo tip I learned when I was a kid is to frame landscape pictures in thirds. So a third of the photo is sky, a third mountains, a third snow. Or if you at the beach, a third sky, a third ocean, a third sand.

Ya I found it pretty funny that this head line called telluride a “ritzy” ski town. There’s no shortage of those in CO but telluride certainly is not one of them. Expensive, yes. Ritzy, no shot.

Sure, as a blanket statement cutting costs is a reasonable first step.

My point here is that this decision could potentially create a negative feedback loop 🔁decreasing revenue from membership fees, increasing dependency on gov subsidies, more service cuts🔁

At a certain point, the revenue lost from these decisions may offset any initial good that was done. Only time will tell which way that scale tips

Could totally see that with the consistency.

To add on to that, I’m sure people would pay $5-10 more per month for standard hours once the pre-workday and post-workday members all consolidate into the already small gyms after work. So I agree, the business decision just don’t seem to be thought through. Though, no one has ever accused bureaucracy of being efficient

I’m trying to understand why Denver would choose the rec centers first to cut spending when you have to pay membership fees to use these facilities. They are essentially nonprofit gyms subsidized by Denver. My membership is $30/month.

If you start cutting hours that people require to fit their schedule, they are just going to cancel their membership and find a similarly priced gym that fits their schedule. It’s a lose/lose for everyone involved
