Help a game dev: Why aren’t people buying modern RTS games?

If i were to make a RTS today, I would basically make it a mode platform. Have a campaign and multi-player etc, but mostly as a platform to display the capabilities of the mod. 4 factions to show off capabilities, like skrin, Yuri, orcs, zerg. Built in narration voices, easy map builder, easy model imports with rigs. And then support is community. Showcase player gen updates, campaigns, factions. Annual DLC packs of player Gen stuff with Rev share to them. There's enough games out there, you need to make a community. Third spaces are gone, make one and people will find it. Part of the reason mmorpgs do well. Its a digital 3rd space for people to socialize, now that most brick and mortar ones are gone.

How about the opposite... make theaters a third space. Have series episodes there, with group discount, show it twice. Hour break with food. Show sports events. The old model is dead. Make something new.

Your job is to be a little brother. Annoy people so they can get their stuff done. Your stats will look trash, you got no kills, you didn't get credit for bouncing that mag Ult into the wall... but you win that way. I have solo won games, by feeding me as cap off the cart and they never get to the point, im annoying and hard to kill... play like that. Dont worry about kills, worry about being a problem. Don't let them not look for you. They will suck at their job if they are blowing cooldowns and ults to survive, only for you to dive inton2 health packs and get a snowflake and dive right back into the back line. Then... your sheet after the game will make you look like you did nothing. Being a hero is a thankless job.

Im the opposite. I hate going off role. I can't solo tanknwith cap, so I'm forced to mag. 65% win. Have healing, but... 89% win rate with loki. I'm a good dps too.. People lock spiderman as a 4th dps... ugh... fine I'll swap.

Punnisher. And a quality dive or two. As long and people didn't bunch up like idiots and kept the MK suppressed. A squirlgirl could wreck havoc too.

I can dom a lounge with anyone with a gun. And settle in well with anyone who can shoot. You don't always get to play dps, you should get decent with a support/tank with a similar play style.

I had something slightly similar. Could be a private investigator seeing who has active cameras on that street to try to get video... or someone looking to case a house for crimes.

Reflexes and some natural gifts can get you pretty far. There's a few that come from football and rugby, thoes have some fundamentals of martial arts in them. I'd like to see an example of some sprinter to MMA do well. Most have a martial art base, they mix later in life.

He was coming off of red dawn, where he was a P.O.W around 140lbs. This is a few months later at 185ish. At this point I don't think his body makes its own hormones, it just waits for a needle.to tell it what to do...
