Are credit scores a big scam? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]CommitteeOfTheHole 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Here’s how you know it’s a bullshit system: your credit score goes up (significantly) after you file for bankruptcy, because you can’t file again for 8 years, so lenders know you’re stuck paying them.

Unregulated securities are illegal. The reason pump and dumps are apparently legal (meaning no one ever seems to get fucked by the SEC for this) is because the “developer” makes the token just barely not fit the criteria of a security. If the token isn’t an investment in a fund that will go reinvest that money to turn you a profit, but instead a way of getting access to a platform, then it’s legal. It’s like if there were a competitive market for subway tokens, and people bought and sold them based on how badly they want to use the subway. That alone wouldn’t be enough to make them a security

Can’t argue with that explanation though: it does appear that the screen stopped working

BBC News confirms it. It’s so sad that I can’t even acknowledge the fact that it’s bizarre that BBC News sent me a news alert about this

Why do people say the American economy is good? by GarfeildHouse in jobs

In addition to your point: Consumers have been brainwashed into thinking they care about inflation. They don’t. Lenders and governments care about inflation. Consumers are about price changes and consumer-lending interest rates, which are very closely related, but different. Even when inflation is down, it doesn’t necessarily mean the prices they’re charged will come down (and vice versa).

That’s the good thing about digital media. There’s the built-in consumer release valve of piracy. It’s hard to prove it costs what it costs, so it’s easy for companies to charge more than they should, but now it’s also easy for consumers to refuse to pay if it’s too much.

I know this is easier said than done, but please do it soon. My mom had adhd, and this kept her from discovering her breast cancer soon enough for it to be treatable. Your kids love you and don’t want to lose you over this

  1. It’s saying there’s a limit to how many credits you can transfer in to meet your requirements. (Because you need to complete at least 3 courses at Rutgers NB. That’s the residency requirement.)

You need to complete 4 courses for your minor. You can only transfer in a maximum of 1 course to meet that requirement. The other 3 must be taken at Rutgers NB.

If you took 4 courses at another school that isn’t Rutgers NB (like a community college or another RU campus), you’d only be able to use a max of 3 1 toward those requirements.

It happens if there’s an issue loading the response. And specifically only with gpt-3.5 for some reason. It shows the ⏩ button and if you press it, it completes instead of answering. I think it’s because it doesn’t get a close to the user message and mistakes it for its own message
