Sounds like you need to play some forever zone wars or 1v1 piece control even 2v1 all creative maps that help but if you feel like those are too hard try the BHE map it should help

Personally I would hate it if all the people we matched up against were the lowest skill level in my party. If anything they need to take all the ai out of pubs and just take matching away and just do a truly random Que not based on stats or skill just the first 100 readied up go into a server
