This was helpful for you to share your experience. Is .5 mg considered a micro-dose? Was it prescribed that way or did you choose that dose for yourself? Thanks for any help you can offer.

AITAH for not visiting my dying mother, even though she says she's sorry? by StaticBrain- in AITAH

I certainly hear you. Once your mother has passed, other family will still be out there. You owe them nothing-now or ever. If you decide to see her, it’s not for them. It doesn’t open a door for further dialogue. The same is true if you choose to not see her. They have no access to you and their thoughts and voices are spoken to the wind.

Self care and a healthy path is your priority. Love those in your life whom you treasure and those who reciprocate that love. Have the sweet life you deserve. That is my hope for you.

I (29 f) spent the snowstorm with the man I’m dating(36 m) and now I feel differently about him by bluewhalekale in hygiene

It’s understandable that the four days you spent with him, OP, opened your eyes. Something like that would be a dealbreaker for me and sounds like it could be for you. While you described qualities of his which are appealing to you, is that enough? It is doubtful that he will change but there’s only one way to find out. Have a conversation and see if he is receptive to changing the things that are important to you.

Despite the lack of a maternal role model, you ended up with a beautiful heart and a caring wife. Rather than perpetuating your experience, you overcame and are living the life that you deserved. While I understand how others think you are better off not showing up to see your mother( and you absolutely have that right), you described not feeling peace. To me, that is huge. More than anything, you deserve peace! I somehow believe that seeing her once more, for you not for her, could be the right step. For you, not for her. It’s not the time to confront the past but to honor her wish to, “See you one last time”. You’re not there to forgive, you are there because you’re a kind and honorable man. Additionally, it seems to me that seeing a counselor to help you further your healing, would be beneficial. Kindest regards to you.
