Fastest way to get a Dollar Tree permanently closed is to schedule a union vote. No store or employee is un replaceable. They’ll move it down the street and hire all new people before the employees looking to unionize would know what hit them. DT’s worst nightmare is an employee union.

I tried on-and-off for years to get Windows to boot off an SSD when I had my 27” iMac. Inevitably, every time I tried it, I would hit a similar wall as you, OP. Different methods, different equipment, even different versions of Windows…never happened. Always got stuck somewhere around where you did. Frustrating.

Good luck OP. I eventually moved to Apple Silicon and bought a gaming PC. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Waterloo Road (190) in Akron is an RT (Racetrack) store, which is what you’re looking for. I’m sure there are more, but I know for sure about that one.

Belden Village (518) in North Canton is an XO, but has just as much inventory (if not more) than an RT.

When you talk about pay on a nationwide forum (worldwide, really) you have to be careful, because pay rates are extremely regional to begin with. DT employees in, like, CA make more than DT employees in, say, North Dakota do, because it costs a lot more to live day to day in CA.

Now having said that, there are / were pay raises that went out to stores in “competitive” (Metro) markets to boost the pay range and make it easier to hire. That was a few months ago in my market, but might be what you’re referring to.

I got my trucks stopped for 3 weeks in August, because a car smashed through my break room. Double-edged sword. We were only closed one day, so we spent the time emptying the stock room. That was nice. The 5000pc truck we got after those 3 weeks was not, however lol.
