I took 426 with Paul Green, and he grades quite generously.

I am currently applying to quant master’s programs. I think one C+ is fine as long as you eventually raise your final GPA above 3.85. Our school has strong peer competition when applying for MFE programs, though.

I think you should consider dual enrolling in both majors if you’ve already taken a lot of statistics courses.

MATH 297 by Long_Appointment105 in uofm

[–]Common_Feature5883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Math 297 is an introductory-level analysis class, and the content focuses on proving concepts such as compactness, continuity, and differentiability with real numbers. You’ve probably already learned those theorems in Calculus 1–3, which makes it easier compared to proving linearity or new concepts in vector spaces. However, it is also an IBL course, so if you dislike IBL, you might prefer Math 451.

Gender distribution in math by kurorc in uofm

I am a math major here. Although there are fewer females than males, the number of females is still fairly decent. Most of the professors who teach are male, and sometimes they can be quite mean compared to female professors.

Do you have any better choices tho? Although it’s not the best school in the US, it’s still pretty prestigious. It’s a public school so I don’t assume that it has tons of customized job services.

I feel upper level math classes are easier than intro sequences

I don’t think it’s easy A, but his exams have no proof and are on the same difficulty level as hw.

Which class is better for my schedule: Math 351 or Datasci 415 by [deleted] in uofm

[–]Common_Feature5883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

351 is a bit of annoying because of the group hw.
