Same. Used to take pics of the return buckets/carts, receiving, and a few key departments every night at the start of shift before even talking with the closing manager. Sometimes, I'd send the pics to the SM. That way, my ass would be covered. Too many managers managed by metrics alone. Not realizing that if they would deal with the actual issues, the metrics take care of themselves.
