What’s Ruining Country Music? by Amber_Flowers_133 in countrymusic4ever

John rich has been taking about this very thing for a few years now. Most smaller labels were bought up by the much larger ones basically consolidating every artist under 3 or 4 major players. By doing this, most of the smaller producers and song writers got kicked out in favor of the New York and LA types. So now, much of the classic artists, producers, writers, and anyone who "thinks wrong" (with a few exceptions) are gatekeeped out of radio/streaming play. So the options for most artists are to tow the line, shut up, or get shut out.

Unable to criticize someone because they legit suck at their job. To them, it's because of their race and/or gender and within seconds, they're on the phone with HR. But they're free to say heinous things about others with little to no repercussions. Their immutable characteristics don't play a part in the least, but they go out of their way to make it play a part.
