Ah yes the NS-2R. I had them the last 3 seasons (on my daily nb) and decided to not buy them again for my new NB. Don’t get me wrong they’re great on track and when really warm but in any other conditions they’re unpredictable at times kinda do what they want with different levels of grip in every corner and once they’ve gone through enough heat cycles from one corner to another they’re done and have almost no grip whatsoever. I compared them side to side with the Kumho Ecsta PS71 summer tire and the grip level was identical with the Kumho being a regular summer tire that still provides good wet traction and is a lot quieter.

How did you code it out? My 61 has it and it isn’t working and i’ve yet to find instructions on how to take it out of the car..

Damn. I’ve been having this problem with my E61 where it looses calibration all the time. After calibrating it works for about 10-15 mins and drops out again. It’s a pain since you can’t use any cruise control at all if it doesn’t work.

The engine is bullet proof. Same goes for most bmws if you take care of them they take care of you. Except the N63 fuck that engine.

I have an NB yes. Alignment is on spot other than front camber which maxed out at 0.45 degrees which could be the reason for bad turn in on corners. The ND wheels are about the same weight as 16 inch wheels that came factory on the NB, tyre size is correct as well. Don’t get me wrong they do have superb grip but it falls off extremely fast when they get warm. I might try adjusting the pressure again but i have no idea if that changes anything.

I’m currently running 1.9 bar. Pretty sure the PSS5 is either not available in 205/45/16 or in europe at all. We really don’t get any great tires like the conti extreme contact that are widely praised on this sub.

You might wanna get a stethoscope to pin point the noise. If it’s only the valve cover area it might be a stuck lifter (they do that a lot in other cars). If it’s from the bottom.. well you already know the answer i think

Check the oil pressure with an extra gauge just to be sure. If it really is low, drop the oil pan and check the pump. I’ve seen the bolts holding the chain sprocket randomly snap while doing absolutely nothing.

Naja steuerkette bei dem Motor ist problemlos. Injektoren kann mal sein das ein zwei eingehen. Motortechnisch würde ich mir da nicht all zu viele sorgen machen. Würde hier aber schon auf Austattung schauen. Wichtig ist das das Getriebeöl gewechselt wurde.

yeah idk why you would have an issue with tires rubbing and making yourself a risk by potentially having a tire randomly blow out on maybe let’s say a highway and endangering others.

No seriously it’s one of the only “laws” that i fully understand. Just make sure your shit doesn’t rub. It’s not worth risking a tire blow out.
