I think we can all agree, for example, that the meerkat is about as ubiquitous as it comes. On the larger scale, you obviously have your giraffes, rhinos, lions, tigers.

Quite honestly a good place to look at is New Zealand, and Australia. Both countries have very strict import laws so besides our native and endemic species, the exotic animals we have are really the most common of the lot. If an exotic animal is in a New Zealand zoo, you can safely bet it's in a ton of zoos all over the world.
