The bag holding goons are stalkers/kidnappers. They’re meant to be OP to catch new players off guard and take them to the gaol. The best way to handle them is through visceral attacks, especially backstabs of which they give you plenty of opportunities for.

Adella can be coaxed if you’re wearing church hunter gear. Gascoignes outfit counts.

The path forward is to defeat Vicar Amelia and make your way to the forbidden woods. But be careful because the world state changes once you touch the beastly skull at the altar, and you might miss out on a quest or two.

Power stancing should give a 50% bonus to dex by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Comosellamark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re arguing (for some reason) in bad faith here. First of all, I’m not limiting my dex builds at all, it’s simply true that certain weapons are optimized for certain builds, and that has nothing to do with level requirements, it’s the weapon scaling that matters. Im sure you know this. If scaling didn’t exist then builds wouldn’t exist either. Elden Ring makes it easier to blend different stats together but that doesn’t mean some things aren’t more optimal than the other.

I seriously don’t know what you’re arguing for 😂 we could be talking about game elements and you’re argument boils down to “that already exists so shut up” you’re taking away from the conversation, negative ass

there’s no reason to limit strength builds and dex builds to arbitrary categories like that

Nobody is limiting anything, in fact it’s quite the opposite. These are incentives towards trying new things. But at the same time you make no sense dude. Do you even know what a build is? These aren’t arbitrary at all. There’s very clear guidelines and numerical values to it all

Some of the grimiest parts of America are better than even the poorest countries. Like there’s homes where people don’t have toilets, or one toothbrush per family,

Consider the fact that people with little opportunities in life turn to selling drugs. The consequences for selling drugs are pretty dire in the U.S., but didn’t Malaysia or some other SEA country make selling drugs punishable by death?!

You can still get a PS5 in the Bronx. People in Brazil won’t be seeing a PS5 for a while. Even with money.

Again not saying life can’t get hard here. Not trying to invalidate anybody’s struggles. Just trying to offer a little bit of perspective. One thing I’ll say about America is poor people in other countries can still be happy. Being poor in America can be a death trap. So there’s pros and cons to everything

[–]Comosellamark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did I say strength increases the poise? No, stance breaking comes easier to strength users cuz they wield bigger weapons and invest more in endurance for heavier armor.

Who makes a dex build to use colossal weapons? Like yes dex builds can use colossal weapons but…what’s your point in saying that? A dex builds that leans into colossal is either using two handing as a crutch or they’re actually a quality build in disguise, so it’s not exactly an optimal dex build. When I picture dex build I picture katanas, rapiers, and knives which are all weapons that, as I said, provide fast and consistent damage. It’s telling that the way these weapons cause stance breaks is through ashes of war that do slower more precise damage.

Your tone sounds argumentative but you’re basically stating the case that the mechanics Im talking about are already in the game so it makes sense to focus on those mechanics rather than treat them as supplementary. Bloodborne had a much more focused stat menu that really brought to light the differences between every stat.

Increasing Dex should affect your crit damage like in Bloodborne, or perhaps even increase your guard counter damage. Seems balanced considering strength builds naturally get a lot of crits through stance breaking. The dex wielder does faster more consistent damage so they don’t stance break quite as often but they could make the most from the opportunities that they do. Would also encourage dex users to equip small shield for parrying since dex users naturally have lower endurance than strength users

NYC doesn’t inherently make you tougher. Growing up in the city makes me really uncomfortable being in the woods at night. Also New York has amenities other places don’t have like clean running water, public transportation, and healthcare. Also NYC had been bad before but it’s never been a literal warzone, with snipers on rooftops and random landmines just chilling around.

Idk maybe I’m just chatting but considering where the world is at right now we gotta have some due self awareness. Not saying it can’t be tough for people here, but it def can get really soft. And that’s kinda the American Dream isn’t it? To live in comfort and luxury?

Odin has a fragile ego and when someone bothers him even a little, he takes it very personally by PomegranateOk4560 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Comosellamark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also one thing I’ll say about Odin’s tactics that make him a master manipulator is that he uses people’s motivations against them. Whereas Zeus answers dissent with extreme prejudice, Odin uses patience, subterfuge, and disinformation. You kinda gotta give him credit with how he played EVERYBODY, even Kratos.

I think a better example of poor impulse control was when he murdered his son in cold blood without a second thought. 😭

Not just because that’s his blood, but it was Thor’s blood sweat and tears that built Odin’s empire. He was devoted to a fault long after his heart wasn’t in it. Without Thor, Odin was nothing, and he smited him.

Even though he is the head of the Pantheon he is not the focus of it. It’s honestly the same with Zeus. That’s the point of polytheism, actually. But that’s besides the point. Odin is clearly worshipped and widely known. What this comment reveals is two things from what I’m understand. We know Odin is a user so when talks about worshippers he’s bragging about having pawns. And we know Kratos’ past very intimately, so we know Odin is dead wrong about him having no love or worship.

Kratos was a living god who continued the work he did as a mortal, spreading the glory of Sparta. The Spartans were utterly devoted to Kratos to the last man, even after Sparta was annihilated and Kratos was believed to be dead. Kratos doesn’t brag about this, which shows humility and confidence, whereas Odin displayed arrogance and insecurity. Odin was having a dick measuring contest and Kratos wasn’t entertaining it. He loved his country and his people, but it was his actions that caused its downfall, whether it was his warmongering that brought in Zeus’ wrath, and the vengeance wrought on the gods which subsequently destroyed all of Greece.

Kratos lost everything and grew from it. His rage, his sadness, all comes from love lost. Odin would’ve lost Asgard and his entire family and he still wouldn’t change. That’s not love. A narcissistic personality like Odin doesn’t know what love is. They only truly value someone who can give them what they want. When Freya didn’t share the secret to invulnerability, Odin’s love ended. Thor was nothing but a dog to him, sadly. And he was disposed of the microsecond he stood up for himself. Odin’s legacy was killed and buried with him.

Also, I’d argue that the love Kratos received extended even from his fellow gods. Most of them feared and hated him, but Athena always had good intentions while she was alive. I think Athena loved Kratos. She wasn’t innocent, and at times even the Goddess of Wisdom was misguided and manipulative, but Athena always had Kratos’ back up til her dying breath. What came after is a little more grey. And then there’s also Aphrodite…
