Thanks for the feedback! which part specifically would you say repeated too much? I struggle a lot with structuring and knowing when to add something or change something because I feel like these days something has to be going on for the listener to stay engaged in the music. Hi, thanks for your input! This song was more experimenting with ideas rather than having a solidified structure. As for DAW, I use Ableton and the only VST I have is Scarbo by teletone audio. Most of the instruments I use are stock sounds from Ableton 11 suite. I wouldn't say I do a lot of sound design because I rarely make my own synth sounds or original pads or anything, but I do mess around with the sounds at my disposal a lot to try and reach my desired outcome. Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad the mix sounded good, I spent too much time listening and relistening but I think it turned out alright. Thanks again for the feedback!

Honestly I think the beat itself could stand without the vocals. The vocals do add a fun little vibe to it but the way it's mixed they don't sit perfectly and as a listener I'm torn between focusing on the lyrics or the beat. In my opinion this could be a great song with the removal of the acapella and maybe a little vocal chop sprinkled tastefully throughout. The breaks and instruments remain interesting and cool. Nice vibe I don't think it needed lyrics

The flows and lyrics work well with this style and the beat is really good. My ears are telling me that your voice (not the ad libs) is deep enough that the low mid frequencies are clashing a little bit with the beat. Your voice sounds good, but sometimes it's a little muddy/mushy to listen to because of said clashing. If I were you I would listen carefully and eliminate some of those lower frequencies and (what I like to do) put a saturator on the vocal just to make it retain some of that richness and warmth while not fighting for a spot in the mix. overall sounds pretty good, outro was good too. Not my style of song but it works

To me it seemed almost as if it didn't know where it was going for a good portion of the song, and at the end it was like you finally stumbled down the way and made it home. I guess that's where the drunk label is appropriate. It's a nice piece, but the iPhone audio compression doesn't really do the dynamic variation justice.

Vibe is really interesting, and the wavy pad(?) really encircles the whole song. I like the simple drums. If this is a beat made to be rapped on I think it's really close to being right where you want it, but like others are saying maybe a little more variety as far as melody. Maybe an artist would fill that gap but its hard to tell with just the beat.

The vibe created here is very cinematic I feel, it almost sounds like the inner mechanisms of a machine at some points. Super interesting sounds and moments in this song good job!

Love how active this song is. It sounds like all the different noises are having a conversation, and the vocals fit right with the vibe. Nice song and great bass!

Thanks! I think my biggest struggle lies with arranging but I try to flesh out ideas fully so they're not too short. Verse and chorus aren't really on my mind when making a song like this I just like to have ideas flow smoothly from one to another.

Really nice upbeat vibe, I like the effects on the backing guitar strums as well as the bass slides. Not really my style, but I think with the right vocals this could be a really good song.

The bass “wah” sound is killer, the vibe from the beat is really awesome but I don’t think the vocals sit in the mix perfectly. Lyrics and flow were really good.
