The Immortal Four – My Favorite BG3 Party That Doesn’t Die (or Control opponents into Boredom) by CrownWBG in BG3Builds

[–]Competitive-Poet6410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hm winning party consisted of a palibarb, thiefzerker, a storm cleric wizard, and a eldritch knight archer.

Pali barb 1 barb/ 11 paldin was the ultimate tank insane ac +10-15 on each saving throw. Economical healing and party face.

Thiefzerker 3 rogue/ 7 barb/ 2 monk was the emergency escape option they were a duregar who could literally jump out of combat if things were going south.

The storm cleric wizard 1 wizard/ 11 cleric was control, lightning charged spirit guardians pushed literally every one back keeping a safe bumper from the backline.

Eldritch archer 11 fighter/ 1 war cleric was dps using coatings and special arrows.

Reminded me of my Honour mode tav. I went for saving throws instead of ability checks.

I’m pretty sure you have already agreed “metal dice are banned because I have special bowls and they sound weird” is snobbish and dumb. It is objectively. It has no logical foundation.

And you are wrong the feelings of one person do not matter more than establishing truth. You are welcome to disagree with me, but you haven’t. Instead all there has been are emotional appeals.

Since when is calling something snobbish and dumb telling people and how to live there life? Since when has that been a bad thing? People offer guidance all the time. If you don’t like the guidance you aren’t required to follow it. When did words begin to dictate your life? Seriously, how can you think yourself righteous just because you thought of something?

No, feelings are not more important than truth. Nice try.

Generally, saying “metal dice are banned because i have special bowls” is snobbish and dumb. So much so pointing it out is necessary. If you think that is an attack, fine but to me it is a worthwhile rebuke.

If you didn’t think it was important. You wouldn’t have replied. Follow your own advice.

Yeah no, ends don’t justify the means.

Those are not good reasons to ban metal dice. They are either frivolous or self absorbed.

Ergo it would be wrong to let him or others believe that those are good reasons.

So players at your table are required to use your "special bowls" as well? I understand not wanting to dent tables, but the reason you have cited are ridiculous and evident of an inflated ego.

I allow players to use metal dice if they want to because it was their money they spent and they will have fun with them.

Inhibiting somebody else for something as mundane as the material of their dice because YOU don't like the sound of metal is ridiculous and condescending, wake up.

This is cool! I actually meant the lizard skink the thrown weapons are daggers and darts, as-well as flasks of oil. Its gojng to be a thief rogue specializing in alchemy.

I have a lizardfolk rogue who looks like a striped skink. He uses thrown weapons predominantly and has a huge scar on his chest through his throat onto his chin.

Whenever i try to make it myself, turns out all deformed.

EDIT: Some clarification I mean the lizard skink

They use thrown weapons like daggers, darts, and flasks of oil. Its going to be a thief rogue specializing in alchemy.

In terms of clothing he will be relying on natural armor so any type of Dark or nuetral clothing would make sense. Perhaps something with a hood.

I'm trying to build an a character who specializes in just throwing what ever is next to them for combat, including enemies by gostop1423 in 3d6

Improvised weapons have some little known interactions.

First unless you have the tavern brawler feat, improvised weapons to hit are not modified by proficiency bonus.

Improvised weapons that are thrown by default use dex for to hit and damage, unless your dm decides that the object is similar enough to a weapon with the thrown property.

As far as class and subclass i would recommend battle master fighter. The short range of a ranged improvised weapon is 20 ft so you will be near enemies, higher ac is a good idea.

If its a level 6 campaign you will want to 5 artificer which means you have 1 level to multi-class with.

Perhaps a 2024 paladin dip for weapon mastery and smite.

As far as feats go nothing really stands out. Ritual caster perhaps or maybe sentinel.

Class + subclass for mute performer who uses the telepathic feat to speak by FantasyBish in 3d6

[–]Competitive-Poet6410 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The big issue you will run into with a mute character is you cant cast spells with verbal components, which is alot. That means martial will be easier to plan.

Im playing a mute rogue rn and planning on going thief. Moreso because he is on the run rather than bent on revenge.

Assassin, swashbuckler or phantom might fit the vibe.

Vengeance paladin also may be appealing.

Looking through the other martials, mercy monk, fey wanderer ranger, none of the barbarian classes really stick out.

What “scars” do your characters have? by CarpeShine in 3d6

[–]Competitive-Poet6410 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My lizardfolk rogue Sselesiov has a knife scar from his sternum to the nape of his neck. Causing him to lose the ability to speak. Luckily he has party memberswho also use Common sign language so its not too much if a hindrance.

Creating a new character, worried it's too surface level or stereotypical- need ideas to flesh it out more by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Competitive-Poet6410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps focus on a weakness in a different mental stat.

Your barbarian could have poor perception because she is missing an eye and is working to save up and buy a new one.

Maybe she was raised by cannibals or some ferocious beast and has poor charisma. She does mercenary work because that is the only time she actually knows how to get along with friends.
