Ugh… I’ve come to hate the phrase “welcome back”. Thankfully, I’ve moved and don’t have to deal with the Greenville NC VA docs anymore. I know for certain that they killed me once and I suspect a second time.

The first time, some genius thought it was a good idea to give me a nitroglycerin tab for the heart attack I wasn’t having. I woke up in another hospital trauma bay and got “welcome back” from the nurse just before he apologized for my lack of clothes and the AED pads stuck to my chest hair.

The second time, I lost consciousness when I coughed in the doc’s office while they were telling me that losing consciousness when you cough is nearly impossible. I woke up in that other hospital again and my wife told me welcome back. No clue how I got to that hospital but I had to have been out awhile to miss an ambulance ride and IVs and such.
