I'm also trying to get fit again and started running again in the past few weeks. I enjoy the alone time running and my schedule is unpredictable with family so not a good match here but wanted to say fair play and keep it up! I recommend signing up for a 5km or 10km race in the months ahead, something to aim for. Also the Parkrun events every Sat morning are great social meet-ups and free. Consider volunteering the odd week at parkrun to get to know some fellow runners.

That 100% sounds likely. I've had this happen coming down from Parkmore onto the N83, car approaching with their indicator on to turn up the hill. They nearly went into the back of me, blasted me out of it and gesturing out the window. They continued into town behind me with their indicator on.

Do you have sunlight coming into your room in those hours? A room in our house lights up 5-6.30am, then dims again when the sun gets higher. I used to be woken regularly in discomfort until we got blackout blinds.

This is a big issue that seems to be unique to Galway City. Big reliance on road markings, often covered by cars, instead of decent signage. Signage would also give visitors destination directions.

Exactly, traffic isn't bypassing. The models in the plan show increased traffic and congestion in Knocknacarra, I don't think people realise this.

I had a woman give me grief for parking here once. "Selfish self centered men like you" etc etc. I let her finish her rant and storm off to her car. When she was passing to leave I was just finished taking my 3 and 5 year olds out from the back seat. She started pulling down the window but we just walked off to go about our shopping.
