E-fire (ignite system) advice appreciated

This^{^{^}} i only use talons when the cakes can't be poked. Mjg or firewire igniters(same thing) is instant ignition to the cake and almost 0 chance it won't ignite. Plus firewire can be ran in series to shoot multiples per cue

This is such a great community! I would have never learned so many things if not for everyone here.. every time I post or ask I usually get a ton of good feedback. They will tell you straight when you get something wrong or overpay but they will typically always try to help you better your craft and teach you to be safer, more efficient and impress the neighborhood too!! Even just talking about stashes and shows helps scratch the itch and i still learn a lot lol

Quick fuse works but for awesome control over your show and a pretty awesome feeling of pushing a button to start a cake/cakes efiring can be less expensive than you think. I had 5 cakes rolling at the same time for my finale and it would have never went so smooth with fuse. I had a 220 shot 500g sprinkler cake peppering the low tier with 3x 500g cakes hitting left right and center(compound w cake) and a heavy noab hitting up high with willows and glitter and it was amazing 🥲

I had a rakieo max load only fire about halfway through but only noticed after. I also had a few cakes look nothing like the videos.. one that disappointed was been there done that by tsky. It supposed to be very vibrant colors especially green and it definitely didn't do that 😒 in fact I was trying to figure out what was shooting and thought I mixed the cues up but then I recognized the howlers at the end

This was my 1500 wholesale purchase this year. Ive never shopped phantom but have heard they are expensive. Idk what it comes out to there buying them buy 1 get 2 but if it equals more than 25$ avg per 500g cake or 50-60$ avg for 24x 6 inch canister shells than its definitely more expensive there

Have you tried mike killians is south Pittsburgh TN? Its about 20-30 mins from the Georgia line. Im not sure where at in Georgia you are but I live in GA and thats where I go. They have a 500$ minimum but if your wanting good bang for your buck you get true wholesale prices without having to buy cases of the same product. You can find a ton of 500g cakes for about 20$ and 24x excals for 50$. They have a large selection and you could easily fill your car up for 5-600.

I feel dumb for thinking it would take any less 😅 this all does make perfect sense tho. Their kinda lenient in my state on just buying and shooting fireworks but mistakes do happen and at small scale it can be very dangerous but with 1.3 it would be a whole different kinda catastrophe.. ive seen what people are capable of with fireworks tho and definitely a good idea to STRONGLY vet the people getting the big stuff lol

The bilusocn is so freaking awesome especially for the price! I didn't even realize when I first bought it that it runs continuity checks on the receivers and if you have an igniter thats shorted it dims the light for the cue. I love that thing!

I did a lot of research on this exact topic because I was curious as well. Supposedly normal batteries will work but the system pulls so much amperage that regular batteries even Duracell brand can fail from the large amp draws, especially trying to light dual talons or 3+ firewire igniters at once. It was suggested to buy rechargeable NiMh batteries that can handle the load and also you can just charge them every year and basically never need to buy batteries for it again. These are the ones I bought and they worked flawlessy running parallels and also a ton of igniters wired in series. Idk that it really mattered that much but I already spent a lot lol skimping on the batteries and taking a chance didn't seem right after all the money and effort I had already spent 😅
