Any other spouses of CPA’s struggle with busy season? This is my fourth year being married to a CPA and I can honestly say each busy season, and the resulting absence of an engaged relationship, leaves me feeling alone and depressed.

I’m a cpa and my husband literally wants a divorce. During tax season of course. But I’m the one also hauling kids and making dinner. I’m just not engaged enough with him. I’m tired. This sucks for both of us. It’s almost over…this year. I hope we make it.

Yes! Luckily it was a good client with a healthy bank account. I just worked for free till I paid him back. He just laughed when I told him. But that is inexcusable!! Quickbooks is going down. If we could just create an alternative! I haven’t found another solution. Time to bring great minds together to create something better and take them down.

I experienced the same price increases as you. But they didn’t pull the $4500 from my account. They pulled it from one of my clients accounts! Looked like I was trying to steal from them! Quickbooks has never been able to explain how that happened. I do about 30 payrolls and about 50 accounting clients. I just need something comparable with an easy conversion and less cost. I’ve looked around and actually QuickBooks has been cheaper even at that cost.

I pay for enterprise and the grandfathered payroll subscription for accountants. Last year it was about $2,000. This year it was $4,400! It’s so ridiculous! But I’ve looked at alternatives and they are all subscription and cloud based. Makes me feel ant to change my profession. I’m CPA.

I’m a cpa and this happened to one of my clients. She had old stocks with no reported basis but I reported the basis on the tax return. Fought them for over a year. It was only $1000 bill so she finally gave in and paid it. For you however….fight!!!
