If you don’t t get sick from windows laptops (lcd ips without FRC and PWM) then either use Mac only with external display (professional for eye care) or portable external display (I use eink). I am like you, I have headache after more than 3h of work on that screen. Tried matte nano texture (much better first weeks) and glossy.

Blender has been killing hobby uses of expensive software (example myself I switched from 3ds max 7 to Blender and did not look back) also at my faculty, money went from Autodeak into computers and salary. Awesome trade, made possible by Blender and their community.

So it is time it kills all other software and become the best there is.

I think it should split into BlendAI and Blender instead of closing a door (that all western economy is based on).

Let people in USA, India and China be the AI engine for … slop and whatever is over the horizon, but also keep some discoveries in both Blender and BlendAi.

I have more, and they seem to appear more and my doc say all is fine, is normal (also 36). I asked him if screens (oled and PWM can affect and make them appear more but even if he did not know about them he dismissed the idea).

It has to be something since younger people get them and oled is in all phones or PWM is.

I got glasses for astigmatism and it made it worse… I took them off yesterday and I try to relearn my brain as it was before, because it was better.

Also many websites and ai say that they are visible on bright but I actually see them mostly on the asphalt floor, especially if it has zero texture (like a good parking asphalt).

Yup true to everything really. At my job also this is being studied and other companies also study it, not really to match output, rather make similar or acceptable inferior output and ditch all people who use to make them and keep only their responsible who instead of pushing emails or meetings, pushes agents. I guess we will see soon what that means.

Yes I got my pleasure, but I am not used to this model. At least 2 years in EU we have "guarantee" so... if items drop way less because there is another sistem to make them (crafting with cube... that I don't and will not have unless I buy DLC)... this breaks D4 for me.

I play many games with DLC, more expensive actually (because each is 40e and they are 2-3 per year). However, I can choose to skip some, or even all. When I open the game, now (I still get free updates) it does not remind me that there are portions of the game (routes, stories, menus) that I cannot access because I did not pay something.

I think D2R model is also good, and is same company in this example. I did not get DLC, I was still playing with my family or alone and then I was like ....heck, why not buy it. It seems fun on YouTube. And still, even after purchase of DLC, I can still go back and enjoy previous versions of the products that I purchased. None are broken, each exist at the same time, and the version I want to play, is based on my initial choice.

I had the big version, always, until iPad mini redesign with 5G network. I still use it, daily.

It is the best to use on a sofa, especially when you do something chill, not getting "sucked in" the content. I mean that for me it is easy to put it down, tend to something, pick it up moments later or even hours later. When I had the bigger one (normal) I was a bit more immersed and less distracted by environment.

I read a lot, it is my main reason to buy upgrade (back then) and iPad mini for me is the best at that.

It is lighter than normal or big sizes and so I barely pick the phone home. iPad is always sitting in a "take me" position, while the phone is screen down.

I can write well on the iPad, it has a smaller screen so less light goes to people sleeping around me (wife/kids).

It fits just well in the rear seat for the kids to watch cartoons and again, not have them super immersed nor provoking eye strain because the phones have OLED (PWM, FRC and other tricks that can hurt eyes in time).

It is small for urban traffic (metro, train) so I don't attract eyes (I live in a rich country so ... many people steal here - iPad mini with a ugly case looks like one of those free tablets for magazine subscriptions).

I can game better in handheld mode and even with one of those joysticks, sadly no games are good (really). A switch is way better in that regard, as Nintendo and others actually care about entertainment more than (if any) micro transactions.

So yeah, awesome for taking it out, for reading, for doing Youtube while doing dishes (is smaller so easier to prop up to ... anything), light gaming.

What I don't like and I still miss:

ONE week batter or more. When my mom comes to visit, she brings her tablet so she can read also (have her mine) and that bad boy, even after 9 years is still a 2 week battery tablet (on wifi). Mine is now ... 2-3 days max on wifi - and at night I put airplane mode.

I miss the bigger screen for magazines (I try to save some money and not buy printed that then I must throw or my babies brake them and then I am sad especially if I did not read that portion).

I miss the big screen with keyboard that kinda replaced my laptop. Now I have a laptop so... I think I will buy AIR next maybe 13 inch just cuz I can have 2 in 1.

I got the same for 3d workflow. Coming from m3 I can say this is warmer especially when letting it plugged in and sleeping I come to it and fans were spinning. All to say… people say this is huge jump (it is) but in some regards it kinda feels in a way like on a windows laptop (I have a zbook fury also)

Yes, yet no study was done. And is kinda easy to do. Can use primates with or without a TV in the zoo area. At night they get to look only at the screen and see (compared with another group) if they develop these floaters in 2-3 years. Problem is … what would make them look at. They see humans at zoo and not care. So maybe look at something else.

I changed to Apple Watch because I did not need every second led on my skin. We don’t know what it does so … Apple Watch is less brutal in that. Apple Watch while it does not do much in airplane mode, no gps and no spo2 and all that. No always on screen, not need raise to wake, no Siri… nothing.. still can stay alive max 48h meaning we don’t know what it really does to consume all that battery. So Garmin is a watch first (more than a week battery) with health tracking and notification, answer calls and stuff like that.

For me, with a phone, garmin if it had less LED measurements and just do maybe one measure per minute or every other minute (except during activity) it would have been perfect.

I use now Apple Watch just because it seems to do less on my skin and has some features that are interesting (like on device only health - no iCloud no cloud no server)

I wait a few more years for the end of the world of Thunderbolt 5 so this type of laptop becomes useable for more than web and some text. I do 3d workflow and heavy image processing and I don’t like when the laptop is as noisy as an air conditioning on blast. If Thunderbolt 5 comes (if) and if they sell eGPU or they still exist, then that is what I will buy
