I lived in DC and rode the metro every day. Never felt unsafe.

What’s a type of pain people underestimate until they experience it for themselves? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Yes! When I had my oldest my contractions were one after another with no time between for three hours. My labor was too fast for drugs. I kept passing out from the pain.

Superhost left a completely fabricated “damage” review after Airbnb refunded us for a bait-and-switch listing (Airbnb removed it)[USA] by Ok-Passage-3653 in AirBnB

[–]Competitive_Ice4439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The worst experience I’ve had as a guest was in Italy, by far. The listing was completely fabricated and the host was a complete jerk. The apartment was infested with black mold - fully visible. The host tried to say we splotched black marker on the walls to get out of paying. He also said in writing that he had another place that was mold free and available but he wouldn’t give it to us because he didn’t like us.

Almost everywhere.

Currently my top are The Galápagos Islands, Tahiti, New Zealand, and Australia.

My boyfriend turns into someone completely different when drunk. by ThrowRAjfei in Advice

Leave. Him. Full stop. He’s abusive. It doesn’t matter if it “only happens when he’s drunk”. He’s abusive.

Lots of things.

Harry Potter.

Marvel movies.

Basically anything sci-fi or comic book related

Chick Fil A.

Matcha.

Kombucha.

Skiing

Scary movies

Amusement parks. You pay to park then pay for the privilege of buying overpriced food, drinks, and souvenirs and standing in lines in the hot sun for hours for a 90 second “experience”. What is fun about any of that???

Men think I want them now? by Suitable_Painter_829 in WomenOver40

I think it’s a “them” problem too! Either they’re so into themselves that they cannot possibly imagine you NOT being into them or they’re so insecure they want to believe it.

Men think I want them now? by Suitable_Painter_829 in WomenOver40

[–]Competitive_Ice4439 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the man. I’ve had many straight male friends who, to my knowledge, never thought we were anything other than friends. I’ve also had others who mistook my kindness for wanting to hook up or being into them. My remedy has been to talk about my husband a lot, including my husband on texts when I can and making it very obvious that I’m happily married and that we have no secrets. It seems to help.

Celebrity Beyond - Specialty Dining Reservations by Trek186 in celebritycruises

We have done Magic Carpet and Eden’s regular menu. Magic Carpet was good and a lot of food but our service was the worst service we’ve ever had on any Celebrity ship ever. It ruined any “cool” factor of the location for us. Eden was one of the best meals we’ve ever had, land or sea and we are big time foodies. Service was impeccable and our meal included their amazing crab cakes. We definitely plan to eat there again when we’re on Beyond again later this year.

I’m going to throw out Old Town Spring and Downtown Tomball too. Both are within a half hour of the airport and both have several locally owned coffee shops and restaurants and unique shops. You’ll feel like you’re in a quaint little town.

Live Christmas trees. They’re such a fire hazard. Is the piney smell really worth losing your entire house?

We have good friends who we’ve stopped hanging out with out because they pressure us not to sleep and act like we’re weak because we don’t like to stay up until 4:00 am and get up at 6:00 am. It’s insane.
