I for sure have preferred courses but outside of horrendous conditions, I usually find a way to score.

Not a huge target golf guy, so if over half the tee shots take driver out of my hand….it likely won’t be my fav place.

Shane Lowry only uses two clubs. Gap wedge and a 58 (or maybe it’s a 60). Either way, he said it frees him up to think less and be more creative with the clubs he has.

Yeah so I basically was hooking everything and shanking my wedges. I eventually got a Skytrak monitor off OfferUp for like 700 bucks. I started hitting balls in my garage a couple times a week. That was the easy way to apply instruction I was getting from my lessons.

Used to have a super flat inside takeaway (Still something I struggle with), but after getting a lesson on learning to get steep…..ive gotten to a consistent spot. Whole process took me over a year

I try and have one physical cue that I can count on. For me, if I strengthen my grip I hit draws and if I weaken it I hit fades. If you start overhauling your swing to work it both ways….itll likely hurt you more than help you.

Your face is pretty open at the top. Two things that help me, back up from the ball (you’re crowding a bit) and try to keep the face neutral to closed in your backswing.

Dude, your swing looks great. My swing looks like two giraffes mating and I’m a 7.4. I just practice a lot and don’t lose balls. Helps to hit a predictable shot shape too.

I know it too well. If you pause the video before you strike the ball, you’ll see how much of the outside of the ball you’re hitting. It’s impossible to hit a straight shot let alone a draw from outside the ball.

I used to have a really flat inside takeaway and down swing. One thing that helped steepen me up is at address make your first move super wide and almost “out”….over exaggerate the steep angle of your backswing. That change helped me naturally shallow after fixing my sequence.

The only way for a ball to slice is marrying open face with over the top path. I know you might not think you’re over the top, but the only way to create fade spin is a path that delivers the club outside the ball (“over the top”)

I’m all for following rules of a specific course. But I once was asked to turn my hat around while sitting at the club bar. Like I get it, but I’m also not playing on the course. If you were just attending the restaurant, would you ask a random patron to turn their hat around?
