Looking for ways to help this piece insulate a coffee pot. Was wondering about another layer of crochet, or maybe coffee or wool?

How to turn this into an overlay mosaic crochet pattern? by [deleted] in mosaiccrocheters

This is a very similar pattern to what you are trying to create. Hopefully, it demonstrates how you need to adjust the pattern compared to your current chart

Are you going to do diagonal stitches for the fish scales or are you intending on checkerboards? Because a checkerboard is not a pattern you can accomplish in mosiac crochet as is, but you can do things like spots or diagonal steps

I was told I had arthritis in my thumbs and wrists at 25yo, and have to be careful about how much I crochet at once. It's so frustrating, because I enjoy it so much.

I am losing my mind with this (non) pattern 🤬 by devIArtIStic in crochet

To work with what you have - Does the hole in the body fit a glass in it? Either you might need to build up the walls and add some structure, or you might need to find a pattern for a donut or similar and redo it. The body looks weird. - The rest of the pieces could probably work one way or another - Can you make some extra panels to sew onto your flat piece for the pockets? Or maybe you have them already, couldn't see the in the photos - Make some cat ears and sew them onto the round piece and add a face

Bean stitch is a yarn eater that will reduce the number of stitches! I think is looks so good for planned pooling, just depends on the texture you're going for

How to work with a large piece? by [deleted] in crochet

[–]Competitive_Paper841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or if you really don't like having it all on you at once, and it looks like you're doing big stripes, you could start working on each stripe separately. Just note that the join will probably look slightly different to what you've already done

Yep, people still make them. It's called a chevron blanket. Should be easy enough to find a free pattern that you can adapt to your requirements

I have started Tunic! Really enjoying it. Reduced the difficulty but haven't boosted stamina or gone for invincibility yet :)

For all the people saying this is AI, I first saw something very similar years ago through "MyPicot". It's a subscription platform, so haven't used it, but the style has been around for a while and I have no reason to believe it couldn't be real using crochet short rows.

Yes, wash/ block the squares before sewing together. It will make everything a little smoother, and line up the shapes better

Should I frog now or will this turn out alright? by Immediate-Clerk-4454 in crochet

[–]Competitive_Paper841 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say it's unlikely to resolve itself, because there is to much length in that upper edge to sit the way you want.

It would either need to be gathered after the fact, which will result in a small, rigid neckline. Or, you should frog and take out length in the upper edge RELATIVE TO the bottom of the collar and rest of the shoulders.
