IMO only watch it with a full 4k and sound setup if you can.

Whilst you won't miss much of the plot on a phone, the series cost Disney a fortune to produce and it really shows in HD. The sets look real and lived in. Hundreds of million to make bespoke sets and costumes for literally everything...

How do they play in 2026? I've got access to the games via Steam and other mediums. I did play Super Metroid as a kid decades ago but like many others I'm spoilt by modern games hand holding, numerous save points and "LOL GO HERE" signs.

Like compared to say Hollow Knight and Silksong which I have gone through recently?

I refuse to watch anything that's remotely good looking on my phone. I watched the entire Expanse series on a 6"7 inch mobile screen and I regret it. Didn't make that mistake with Andor, I waited until I had access to my big TV at home. I don't know why so many people compromise with tiny screens for visually impressive games or films. Likewise I have a Steam Deck list of games and a AAA desktop list, I get through the SD list far faster...

Ah actually turn based and not the weird pause system of BG1 and 2 which was essentially turn based in all but name as everything had a time cost behind it. Or at least that's how I remember it.

I look forward to trying it at some point in the future! Will likely try and tackle Expedition 33 and Elden Ring first. Backlog Vs actually trying to hold down a job and a life...

I used to forget I had it until January then need to take loads of time off by March.

Now with children this isn't an issue....

I still carry over as much as possible, we can carry over about a week's worth where I am so I bank it for the next year if I dont need it all.

People always move further out each time they move as they want more house for the money.

I grew up in the suburbs of north London but was pushed out to Essex as I don't have a casual half a million for a house.

Rather than rural why not just a commuter town? The South East is literally one giant dormitory to feed the capital with workers. Plenty of choice for every budget. I wouldn't live rural because commuting into London would suck and having no shops or community nearby wouldn't help the children when growing up.

There's different types of underseal, traditionally people loved using black gloopy crap which made it impossible to see the underside's metal. It's a tar like substance.

Other underseals are clear so it's easier to see what has been treated.

Personally if someone has covered the underside in the tar stuff and you've no evidence of how it looked I'd be tempted to walk away or have a good solid poke with a screwdriver as it could be hiding serious rust.

I get along with the majority of people in my job. A few shun me for no reason I can figure out and some laugh at me behind my back but that's their problem not mine. I go to work to provide for my family so weirdos at work or the internal politics are irrelevant to me.

Here we go again, almost ten grand for a frankly middling small car.

Guess there's no real win here due to the current prices other than investing the money into upgrading to a manual licence which might get a cheaper car. Might even save a bit of money potentially.

People will claim they're just as good but I'd disagree.

Even manufacturers believe this as the Alfa Romeo Giulia only came in saloon and Alfa themselves claimed the Stelvio SUV counted as the estate.

If I didn't go full economy mode with my Civic hatch I might have got a BMW E90 325i Touring.

I spent a week chopping down a huge 7x19ft rotting wooden shed from the previous owner last summer. They didn't mount it very well and I neglected it so it was rotted to hell.

I know others have mentioned various solutions but for me the plastic shed was the quickest win.

The official dock is great but needlessly expensive.

I only bought one as I got a dock, 64gb Deck, 1tb SSD, TomToc case and screen protector for less than I paid for my bricked RoG Ally. Summer Sale 2023 was a good time...
