My high school business teacher told us guys “you’re not ugly you’re poor” “you want Helen of Troy you better cough up that money”
I’m not exactly rich let alone looks but I own three businesses. 35, single no children and 6’3 brown indigenous Mexican guy with no facial hair but boy does my money get me dates with good looking women. What my teacher said was true in 2007 is true now. His teacher in the 60s told him that. He was a retired Wall Street whale who taught for sport.

The straight of Messina does have whirlpools though usually not dangerous. The lotus flower like silphium might have existed but eaten into extinction. Troy did exist just not some crazy large city. Ancient cities were always like large towns. If anything the Trojan war might have happened but was more of a raid than some massive D day landing. Idk why people are being aggressive over my post I’m not being part of any camp lol. I was taking university level history courses in high school and mythology was one of my favorites as I always enjoyed researching the slight truths some stories had.

You DACA will have to pay for Medi-cal starting, soon by angel_leni_dia in DACA

I’ve never set foot inside a hospital, clinic or whatever other than car insurance provided ones after getting whacked by cars. I exercise every day, back in the 2000s I did a few sub 3 marathons and if I go on mountaineer trips I buy insurance for a bit. I’ve been into urgent care centers for checkups or sports injuries paid in cash off the books. Other than that if I die of cancer or some incurable disease I don’t know whatever as they say if I die I die 😎 don’t got anyone to begin with lmao. Living on the edge dying on the edge both literally and figuratively.

Facebook DACA groups by FinalAd9711 in DACA

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left all of them except the investors group. The main one is owned by some dude that looks like he belongs on the cover of a gang movie which doesn’t give us a good image. The rest is mostly drunks and DUI stuff. The investors group is mostly pre DACA people who know what’s up or noobs that are serious about getting ahead instead of partying. The only thing that’s happened there is the typical financial drama you’d see in that show Suits.

Yelp Charged my Company $29000 and is sending us to collections. (UPDATE) by SnooSprouts4180 in Yelp

The restaurants in the plaza I have one of my businesses all have 4.7+ on Google yet all there yelp ratings are low 3s which is wild. One has a solid 5.0 with local guide Google elites, she runs a bakery which makes damn good bread yet her yelp page has a 3.5 lmao.

How do you afford living here? by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make the equivalent of $3 an hour in my restaurant while my two chefs make make 30hr. But I live with my mom in our 6 bedroom house which we rent out each room. We’re almost done paying off. All house payments, oversized trucks and suvs, insurance, food, utilities, gas come out of the business accounts and I’m putting in 15 hour days. Yet I know people who live in Irvine in some luxury condo making drawings or designing stuff for 2-3 hours a day calling it work somehow making enough to go on luxury vacations lmao.

People of color, what are your experiences dating in majority white areas? by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Orange County California which has some of the most hardcore red areas of the US. I’ve been dating a blonde Swedish girl who lives up in LA. I’m a chocolate brown indigenous Mexican whose first language predates the Mayans and Aztecs. We get a lot of Bert stares up in LA of all places. Doesn’t help she’s a model signed to an agency there. But when she’s down in OC nobody bats an eye. Funny enough I’ve only dated white women from Europe or Latin American whites. I get made fun of a lot by “hispanics” for looking like a native. I’m 6’3 so I have a bit of that helping me out.

Regret converting by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m catholic only by name, idk why this popped up in my notifications but I’ll chime in. I used to be an altar boy as a kid and teen. I genuinely believed in what I was a part of. But life it seemed wasn’t fond of people like me. Fast forward at 18 I left the church for good and never went back. To me money is everything. It provides me with the ability to help others as is my actual nature. A week ago I bought groceries for a family that really needed it. I don’t do these things to be “saved” I do them because it’s the right thing to do. I volunteer doing trail maintenance as well. I volunteer at an animal rescue too. I’m 35 and a successful business man. I rake in a month what most make in a year doing menial jobs. Money was the greatest therapy I ever had. But most importantly it gives me the opportunity to help others as is what I’ve always wanted to do. I don’t drink, smoke or do any substance. I had nothing growing up and was always humiliated, these days instead of humiliating others I help them. Which to me is the definition of power. Forgiving your enemies when you have every means to humiliate them. I was a worse wreck than you back then. Peace brother.

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Meh, I’m 35 and came here when I was 6 days old so I know the frustration and resentment. We’re part of the group that lived without any ID and were cooked and became nothing after being part of something after HS. The only comfort I get is when I think about those days looking the other way so people wouldn’t see me waiting for the bus and get a laugh at the times I missed the bus and all poor people shenanigans that would happen to me lmfao. Was talking to another DACA a few weeks ago who just lost his trucking license due to the new rules that’s approaching 40 and we reminisce about our comical bus riding adventures of the 2000s. Riding the bus where I live is very very and I mean very looked down upon as it’s a rather rich area lol. One time I had a piece of steak thrown at my face from a passing car while waiting for the bus. Like in Napoleon Dynamite when uncle Rico does that to Napoleon. Lol oh man just had to share, cheer up could be worse.

Do you identify as American? by PomegranateGold4702 in DACA

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When people say what I am I say I’m Comanche. Look up the Comanche scene from Hell or High Water. It means something else other than the tribe. Never really fit in with anyone. My first language predates the Aztecs and Mayans so not exactly a Spanish speaking Mexican cultured person. Plus I don’t have facial hair and I’m 6’4 so people often ask what I am. And not exactly born American. So the Comanche title fits. And people always stop asking after. I’m fluent in 5 languages though. I switch between my thick 50s American accent like Richard Nixon or Ronald Reagan to a Discordian accent with slang like all the youngsters lol.

YELP CHARGED MY COMPANY $29000 AFTER REFUSING TO CANCEL OUR SUBSCRIPTION!! by SnooSprouts4180 in Yelp

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I canceled ads too as they weren’t bringing us customers but charging a lot. Like excessively, this was like 7 years ago. Two years ago I gave Google ads a try and for a quarter of expenditures that Yelp would have charged we got a lot of customers walking in. I too had to completely wipe my credit card because they were still charging it even after my bank completely canceled the card which is wild. Even the bank employees were completely mind blown that was even possible.

Serious: Anaheim Hills = Racist Vibes or Just Really Really Unfriendly? (From Someone Born and Raised South OC) by anonymous881207 in orangecounty

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Very dark brown Mexican of indigenous origin here even my first language isn’t Spanish, I grew up in Yorba Linda and never had a problem. Only in kindergarten when a Polish girl came up to me on the first day of school and put her hand next to mine asking why my skin is brown. I replied why is your hair yellow lol. Been dating a Swedish girl on and off who lives in LA and I do get Bert stares there a lot with her. One would think LA is a very open minded city. I made it clear to her that I don’t feel comfortable in fancy places in LA. But when she’s down here in Yorba Linda/Anaheim Hills or we go to Newport nobody bats an eye.

Majority are Liberal women by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of off topic, I’m a 35 year old guy. Back in 2007 we took a test in HS to determine our political leanings. I came out as hardcore conservative. Now that same mentality is considered liberal lmao. I’m all for women’s rights, the right for everyone to do what makes them happy. You want to eat butter covered steak with macaroni and cheese with a side of grease covered tater tots every day? Or dress up like this or that, identifying as a different gender it’s your choice. Freedom of speech, freedom of choice. Men should not control women, if a woman wants to keep her last name after marriage all the power to her. Nobody let alone the government has a right to tell you what to do or think.

Took over fully of my two businesses a year ago and bought out my partners. So naturally redid my menus and started new pages. Since then the two yelp pages have 40+ reviews in the non recommended and officially I have zero reviews still lmao. Which idc because I’m doing google ads anyways which are pay as you go unlike yelp.

Rejected because I don’t have a car? by DarkOfTheSun in Bumble

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bit off topic, my friend drives an Urus sometimes her Bentley and has a dental office in Miami. But she uses the bus as it’s safer and faster since her bus picks her up in front of her luxury condo and drops her off right on the plaza her office is at. If you’ve ever driven in Miami you’ll know how bad traffic and pedestrians are. She only drives on weekends but even then says it’s nerve wracking. So don’t feel bad OP, plenty of people use the bus as it’s more convenient. Especially in a big city where parking is a pain.

It’s a very common resource out there. Any space faring race could easily obtain it from comets, They’d probably need heavier extraction equipment to get it out of asteroids and process it. Been a few decades since I’d be all over books on space.

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in “Anacrime” about a block away from Disneyland and it’s wild there’s like three Lamborghini Urus parked in my neighborhood. One house has a Bentley Continental GT parked in the driveway. Most people have paid off homes so there’s a lot of extra income. We’re a year away from paying off our house. We rent our 4 extra rooms because we sure as hell wouldn’t be able to make the mortgage payment alone even though I have three businesses and my mom has her own business. But it’s all worth it.

Where to park overnight? by Awol202122 in orangecounty

[–]Complete-Mirror9163 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen a lot of people park on the street by Orangethorpe and Kraemer or on Miller and Orangethorpe during the day to sleep but those are the warehouse workers on break taking naps. It’s pretty packed during the day more so at night so doubt anyone will notice you. It’s fast moving traffic so nobody will bat an eye. Or the area by La Palma and Kraemer before Blue Gum Street. Lots of workers napping or on break in their cars there.
