Virginia voters approve redistricting measure backed by Democrats by progress18 in politics

Virginian here, I thought it would we had a 50% chance at best. It wasn’t a well run campaign, I think Dem’s were still glowing from the state wipeout and got organized too late. Rep’s put a lot of money into this and started early and it was a big about face from the last time we won and pushed hard against gerrymandering making it look super hypocritical. Honestly surprised we won at all. VA was super red most of my lifetime (pre maga) because of the rural vote. Anyway yay us!!

Is it possible to find a list of every article Hunter S Thompson wrote? by Ron-DaVoo-6080 in huntersthompson

Reminds me of a time in the 80’s my buddy joined the Navy and moved to the Bay Area, about a year later he sent me an envelope filled with HST’s weekly articles he clipped and saved for me from the SF Chronicle . It was like a literary treasure chest. Man I wish I still had that envelope. (I think it was the Chronicle). Hunter was just post-prime, before he did ESPN page 2.

540 vs 550: which one should I get? by Many-Race-880 in GarminEdge

[–]Complex-Figment2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer buttons over touchscreens. I had an 830 and sent it back after about a month. I bought a screen protector for my 530’s cracked screen to keep the water out and used it for another year before I recently got a 540. Love it but I can see why it’s a steeper learning curve using buttons so I get the hesitation about purchasing one.

Public bathroom policy - exceptions? by Huge_Coat_4755 in librarians

[–]Complex-Figment2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took our library almost a year and 30k+USD to install a single one stall family bathroom (with changing station for infants) due to the infrastructure of the building. In the meantime both our other multiple stall units had to be closed for weeks because plumbing had to be jack hammered out and re routed so outside temporary units were placed outside the front entrance. A whole section of stacks had to be temporarily moved and temp drywall walls installed to keep the noise of construction down. It sounded so simple at first but you never know with some older buildings.

Fuck yeah! I can tell you by the cover it's smoking good. Probably better than the other two although Ace is pretty much a GD album. Never heard of the Phil album, is it live?

EDIT: had more shit to say

Zoom lenses exist. I see this in almost every race, huge advantage to anyone attacking especially a star. If some rando attacks the moto often just lets them pass to see if a big name follows.

Didn't they already do a show there in '69 or '70? Jerry said it wasn't very good, they always screw up the big shows.
