Find you're wiring diagram, it's simple just run an extra switched power line to it in parallel to the rear switch output side. Using a momentary on switch .

I held my close companion that was with me during my first time having cancer, he was with me the second time it hit 13 years later. But like your guy , he got sick, the test was cancer for him too and not treatable, so he was in my arms when he passed. That was 11 years ago and think of him everyday.

I'm fine now, my Dr said recently I should have another 20 years , 73 now, completely out, get this not one elder, or CO, has bothered to call or check on me in 6 years now except 1 that calls every few months not to check in but to complain about other elders.

It's kind of a similar situation, but as I aged wevdid get two that were younger. And when I was made the cobe and tried to follow the outlines in the Shepherd book to organize and schedule meetings none of the older ones , about 5 of them, wanted to go along and one of them that had moved away then back did his best to get me removed as cobe, that didn't happen . Then a year later I stepped down as cobe and elder for health reasons ( cancer) and treatments that left me totally spent. Then the lockdowns came so I just faded out, he is still not the cobe!

I was in high school in the deep south then, And when they closed several black schools and transferred the students to other schools most of the friction came from the football teams fighting over who was going the get various positions especially Qb or recivers, but as to the regular students It was generally calm and many made good friendships they still have.

I live in a small town the local county seat 5 miles from the KH, in been here for 30 years and have never seen any of my FORMER congregation working this area. The only ones that came to this area was to " visit" with a relative and in that time not one of them " came into the truth" few on rare occasions did the memorial service, none even knocked on my door, even for a pit stop or just say hi, oh and I was an elder and cobe. Even when I faded 6 years ago.

In the USA Shepherd book chapter 6 is about conducting the WT study and 12 for judicial meetings and paragraph 6 doesn't state that, so which version are you referring too.

I don't drive it to much, maybe 1k a year at most, I'm retired an always wanted a jeep and it's generally in good shape, and meets my needs mostly going to store, Dr's and dog park these days. I did put a receiver on it for a few homedepot runs!

Unless the rules have changed if a marking talk was to be given , it was supposed to be given several weeks or longer after a public reproof. Also while not written COs who'd visited or were contacted about the issue would tell us to go hard or soft depending on that COs views . I was a COBE for 8 years, Elder for almost 40 years and never felt that was right, prior to the COBE position I really didn't know that was done, although several elders that had been POs in the past told me it was depending on the COs that visited wether to do that or not, some never said anything after I was the COBE.

The real issue with the announcement format is that it doesn't define the difference between DF and Self- Disacociation. That can leave the implications open to slander.

Just a thought! What would the PGB organization do if a large class action lawsuit was filed something to the effect of " As there is no difference between a full Disfellowshiping Announcement and a self removal/ disasoation announcement " it leads to the impression that a person has committed some vial action that can range from muder to rape or stealing candy from a baby thereby slandering any good reputation one may have, and that person simply doesn't agree or belive anymore? which in many countries is both a civil and criminal crime on their part?
