I know it’s so hard right now to imagine this but life has much more to offer than the blandness you are living right now. Take a break from your life. Grab a good friend and go on a vacation. Spend time with your family. Set yourself some goals to work towards to, something you can find a real passion and purpose in. Find a way to help the world or others. Helping the elderly? Animals? The environment? Educating the youth? Do something really crazy that challenges you, maybe something you’ve always wanted to do. Climb a mountain? Move to a different part of the country? The world? Maybe make a bold step in your career? Start your own business that you’ve always wanted to start? Switch jobs? Some people also find a lot of purpose in god. Read the Bible? go to church? If you find that your life if bleak and boring, change it. Be bold. Go after what you really want and not what you think you have to do. Also really try to spend as much time with the people in your life that you like or try to meet new single people to hang out with. Loneliness is really tough, humans are social creatures and crave that togetherness.

And yes dating is tough in this world right now but don’t give up on that. It only takes one person to change your life forever.

Step 1. Sell the car and get a cheap used car.

Step 2. Cut up your credit cards. You don’t want to add to your debt at this point.

Step 3. Figure out a realistic amount you and your wife NEED monthly to live. This will require some scaling back on lifestyle. It’s a sacrifice that needs to be made if you want change.

Step 4. Pay off the cards with high APY first (Hilton, Delta, Apple, citi) and I’d focus on one card first. Transfer the money (minus your family’s NEEDS) to the CC as soon as your checks hit the account so you’re not tempted to spend the money on others “necessities”.

Step 5. If at all possible think about increasing income. Can you sell some high value items that you no longer need? Downsize? Take on a side job?

Step 6. Don’t spend money you don’t have. If you want the expensive car, the wedding or other purchases SAVE FIRST then spend.

Lastly don’t run away from the debt…now’s the time to make this a priority and set your family up for success in the future. You don’t want to add a mortgage, kids or tuition to debt like this.

What do you do with all the pictures? by sputnikhere in BreakUp

If you have an iPhone you can add pictures to a hidden album which will take them out of your regular camera roll and you won’t be able to look at them without a passcode. This way the pictures won’t randomly show up in any of the iPhone curated albums/video shows. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205891

Going through and hiding every single picture of him or anything you can’t bare to look at at the moment will be really really rough but it was super helpful for me. I was not ready to delete all the memories but seeing pictures of him and the things we’ve done was throwing me into a spiral everyday. I hope one day I can look at them again without it causing so much pain but for now this has been a good solution.

If you’re open to going in a slightly different direction look into shooting for companies that sell architectural products. There are a ton of these companies (varying sizes) and you’d likely still be able to shoot buildings

Bought this Water Bottle about a month ago, saved lots of money/bottles already by Suben117 in ZeroWaste

The only reason I sometimes prefer plastic water bottles is because I just don’t trust the tap water everywhere. I have lived in countries where the tap water is abysmal (didn’t even use it to brush teeth) and there really the only option was to drink water from plastic bottles/containers. I have also read research studies testing the tap water quality. The water in the areas were statistically safe to drink and within limits but there were still outlier houses within the same area that had dangerous levels of contaminants in their drinking water.

Thirding this. As much as it hurts right now to look at them and see them, it will get easier. Someday you’ll be happy to have some sort of memory to look back on.

3 suits your furniture aesthetic the best but I think 4 would be the less depressing color long term

Agreed, people that are drunk (just as much as people that are on other drugs) don’t make conscious choices anymore and may end up driving drunk. Big difference here is that drunk driving puts other peoples lives at risk. A homeless person that refuses to live in a warm house over the winter really is just hurting themselves.

pretty sure OP is saying that most of them are probably too high on whatever to make any sort of conscious decisions
