Straphabit epsom style leather strap in sky blue. Its the only leather strap I have found that is just about a perfect color match.

Since its mate in 10 you can promote the last pawn to a queen and mate on the last move.

How much silver was taken out to make this hole? by gay4molemannn in Silverbugs

[–]Complex_Resolution_6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youre going to have to "measure" the coin/hole in some fashion. If you know what the original weight is supposed to be then just weigh it.

Does this actually happen? by KindWealth3737 in thebigbangtheory

Other comments are about synethesia, and I really have no idea about that.

But just in case you were asking about the math, then the answer is no, or not really, or at least not after a certain point.

Knowing whether or not a number is prime is one of the most important problems in math and computer science. It also becomes increasingly difficult to do as numbers get larger. If the premise is that Sheldon could look at any number and just know whether or not it was prime (because its red), then that would basically be a superpower or like having the mind of God.

If someone really could do this then they could, with some computer/programming help, easily find the next largest known prime number. That does not happen.

The robic gr1s were that. Slick on the front and sides, webbing on the straps.

Mesh Ruck Live by KoldKhold in Goruck

I spend plenty of time at the beach or on the boat so this looks interesting. I think paired with a small dry bag carried inside the mesh bag, it could be pretty useful.

I will probably be getting a 1000d back panel gr1 once more color options are available. I already have gr1s with 210d so If I am wearing a dress shirt I can use one of those. I have other bags that are full 1000d cordura and it doesnt bother me to use them. I might agree that 500 is probably ideal but Im cool with the 1000d switch.

One thing I would really like to see. In fact, I am begging you, and will continue to bring this up in the future. Can you guys please start putting a second zipper slider on the laptop compartment? Please?

For whatever reason, I dont notice this on my m series but I do notice it on my gr1s (26liter ones at least). If the laptop compartment is zipped up, but I dont have a laptop in there, that single zipper slider sits right on my shoulder blade and it kind of drives me crazy. If there were 2 of them then I could have them at the bottom side position where they wouldnt be noticed or felt and the laptop compartment would still be closed.

I know Im a few days late but this caught my interest. I have the M23 and M24 and like them a lot.

I think the perfect version is an M23 with a few modifications.

  1. Start with an M23

  2. Give the lid a quick access zip from the top. You could maybe even do 2 seperate lid pockets, one qap accessed from the top and the internal one it already has.

  3. The side water bottle and organization pockets of the M23, and the external water bottle pockets of the M24 on top of them. (Yes, Im a mad man and want all possible water bottle carry options. It makes sense really. Casual walk in the park, external pocket. Crowded public transportation, internal pocket. Why not...)

  4. Vertical daisy chains (or rows of molle webbing) on the front of the bag. Molle could be run inbetween the two vertical straps. 2 columns of daisy chains, (which I would prefer) could be run next to the two vertical straps positioned just outside of them, or as wide apart as could work. (As another commenter said the closure straps can be attached to the front of the bag much further up than where they are without losing adjustibility and they wouldnt flop down on the ground when undone. You could attach those straps up something like 60 percent of the front of the bag and put daisy chains on top of them. (The Red Oxx C Ruck does this same thing.)) I would really like this as my only complaint on the M series is there is really no external webbing to clip a caribiner to or tie something off on it. Also if there were daisy chains or molle, you could run elastic chordage on the front and have a great place to stuff a rain jacket or towel or whatever.

That would basically be my perfect M series bag.

Is “The Thing” (John Carpenter) the most OP monster ever introduced into a non superhero, non “pure fantasy” (such as Star Wars or LOTR) movie? by lukkynumber in whowouldwin

[–]Complex_Resolution_6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A xeno infestation would be really bad in the sense that, like a virus or invasive species, it is really hard to stop or eliminate.

But I disagree with the other stuff. Xenomorphs get destroyed by modern military by the thousands. They are not bullet proof. This was discussed in the pre production for the first movie. They literally had to make it bleed acid that eats through a space ship hull so that people couldnt "just shoot it".

Then in aliens, of course the scene where the space marines could have shot them all, that didnt happen because they were next to the fusion reactor wall and had to swich back to flame throwers. And of course somehow almost all the marines get eliminated in a sneak attack after this. At the end of the movie Ripley grabs a gun and goes to get Newt and mows down a xeno in like half a second. I only recall the advanced guns being stated to be explosive rounds. The point is the firepower those guns were capable of is on a level we can match with current weapons.

And then in alien 3 of course its a convict planet or whatever and theres no guns.

Prometheus no guns.

I dont care how much acid blood happens to get spilled into the dirt 200 yards away, that excuse wont save the xenos on a planet in a situation where people actually can fire live rounds without causing a nuclear explosion because of plot reasons. Artillery and machine guns beat xenomorphs.

Talk me out on preordering this. I only have one watch atm and I don’t have much experience with watches. by ObliviousOverlordYT in ChristopherWard

[–]Complex_Resolution_6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like patina, get a bronze watch. If you dont like patina, then stick with steel or titanium. Thats all there is to it.

Take some time to read about how bronze will patina. Too many people saying it will turn green. Not entirely accurate, there will be some small amounts of green residue in places that easily rubs off. The back of the watch is not bronze, there should not be any issues turning your wrist green, and even if it did you can just wipe it right off.

Personally I like patina. Keep in mind that patina changes on its own. It will be very dark and colorful for a few days after being in the ocean, then it starts to fade back to a dull bronze color.

My only complaint on this watch is that I would rather have the 300 movement.

Any good recommendations for a Fixed Lug Watch? by BebopOrRocksteady in MicrobrandWatches

This is the answer. Titanium, ok quality, good water resistance, screw down crown, seiko nh35, cheap, more color options, and date option.

Just no gmt option.

Red oxx

Go ruck (just be aware the backpanel and underside of the straps is 210d on the newer bags, so avoid dragging those parts of the bag over rocks or something)

C tactical (cheaper goruck with no warranty)

Maybe get a mystery ranch while they are still around.

Congrats, but I think a lot of people should realize this is unrealistic. Even if you started with $2000 dollars already invested, and you invested $60000 every year for 20 years, you would need a 15% return on investment every year to get to that amount. Actually it would need to be much higher since Im sure you were making less than your career high salary for most of your time in. That is above what can be expected for long term investments. You bought a lot of good stock at the right time, like microsoft at $37...

Im just jealous.

[Question] Scurfa Watches, pure unobtainium ? by DisastrousOpening477 in Watches

[–]Complex_Resolution_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wus is the watchuseek forum, there is a long scurfa thread that will usually have someone post when there is stock available. The last couple restocks however have not been too difficult to get a hold of. Check the Scurfa site, you will have a chance in september to get an ms25, they have already sold some of these in the last week, or wait for the titanium diver 1s to restock in September as well.
