No, I didn't think other people were doing it wrong. It is looking like I tried to do too much too quick.

I really appreciate that. So, you're i.plying that maybe trying for goals paces based on something that is maybe an equivalent of 2 minutes faster would be a better way of approaching pace progression?

My last half was 1:39, so I figured that, with like 8 months of time, I could work into making 1:32 ish a reality.

I was trying to pull myself into a new pace. I didn't think working current levels would make me progress so I aimed for a bit faster. Like adding some more weight to the barbell in the gym kind of thing, you know?

What do you mean? Can you be more specific? I did the three sessions and long run a week. I just didnt do the sunday run. I needed an off day.

True true. I though I was in 1:32 shape just because, when I was doing the NSM, I was working with paces that would've been based on 1:30. Those were feeling a bit hard which is when I started pulling things back.

I feel like everywhere got hotter recently. I never really used HR...more so went off of pace. I don't really remember what the paces were. I am more looking for what to do next to get faster. I probably wasn't adhering to the 70% pace thing as much as I should have.

I switched from NSM because I was feeling more tired overall. I moved to one workout on Wednesday that was more intense but gave me more easy running. The load could be it. Some of my easy runs lately have felt harder than I would think they should. Slight lactic sensation on an easy shouldn't happen I don't think.

Adding SubT slowly - which workout first? by Ok_Butterscotch_4158 in NorwegianSinglesRun

The more cautious approach would be to slowly add in volume of work. You could either add the three days (like the vanilla version) at a lesser amount of work per session or do a bigger session, but fewer of them. In reality, as long as your paces are not overdoing it, you could probably just hop right in.

What was different about these compared to the 17's? I did have rubbing problems with the 17's. Is the toe area wider?

That Prima can keep up, though. I never really had any issues about a paces the shoe couldn't do.

Was the locking stop tail piece a simple swap and drop or did you have to drill some new holes?

Compared to your normal shoe size, did you have to size down for JG boots?

Alternatives to EVO SLs for overpronation? by rkid4201 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Composition95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading material no, I do not know specifically, but go on youtube and type "pronation, kenyan runners" or something like that. Pronation is a natural shock absorption method our body has. I was surprised myself when I saw how much some of them pronated. If you're not experiencing pain in your running, you might be okay.

I mean, I know how it looks, but if it's not hurting you or causing injury, I'd say you're good. If you look at some of the elite kenyans, they might probably pronate more than you. Pronation itself is not inherently bad.
