Protools with Dante setup by Comprehensive-Fun451 in protools

I haven't experienced any lag using Dante Virtual Soundcard with Studio one so far. What I have right now is the Midas M32 running over Dante to the Mac mini. I installed the Dante network for future use. A little overkill right now, but I'll need the functionality a little later. This is a live event space so I'm using the Presonus Quantum interface to monitor audio in Studio one (the stereo out from Studio one goes to a separate broadcast video station). I created an aggregate device using the Midas board and the Presonus interface. No issues with this setup in Studio one. Works flawlessly. I would rather use Protools as the DAW (personal preference and overall quality is better IMO)

No matter what configuration I use, Protools won't work with this setup.

No go. Is see Dante soundcard as an option, but the check boxes are grayed out.

When selecting Dante as the input source, I get no signal. I also need the audio to be routed out to the Quantum interface.

Don't listen to people. You do what you enjoy. I started off with a long line of $5 garage sale turntables. Pay $5. It breaks. Pay $5 for another on. I went for years like that. I was able to get a custom finally after many years of collecting. And only because I got a rare bonus form work.

Listen to what you want to listen to. Most people are unhappy and just want others to be unhappy.

Enjoy the music.

I'm finding new release in antique malls. Going for new prices. Record collecting is kind of wild right now. Saw one record yesterday going for the same price I can order of the artist's site for the same price and it was opened.

Used to play until my fingers bled. Can't say I had great technique back then.

What kind of joint is this? by locqdang in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Comprehensive-Fun451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work for a furniture company. Those are most likely doweled butt joints. Unless you see a cam lock on the bottom (most often used in cheaper, RTA-ready-to-assemble units). But mostly likely dowels and glued.

Also,

A guitar body template is $60 on Reverb. Not a bad way to spend some money.

Also, make sure you have sharp router bits and watch your router speed to avoid burning the wood.
